Very pricey! The prices can compare to Manhattan prices. We typically buy organic pies in Manhattan local market and pay about $30 per pie. here we paid for a pie and banana bread $60.Otherwise the food is delicious.

This is a great spot to stop for a sweet treat! We had the apple crisp, Boston cream pie, and cinnamon rolls during our stay in Vermont. All desserts are homemade & delicious. Will be back :)

The pie here is not just a pie.The apple pie, specifically, is a euphoric experience. I've never had such a tasty pie. I got a slice at night, had a bite, and decided I couldn't leave without picking up a whole pie for the ride home. It's a little on the pricey side ($32 I believe), but if you think about it, a sub-par pie from Wegmans costs $15, and will not bring you nowhere near the amount of joy you will get from eating a pie from Vermont Apple Pies. Trust me. It is worth it.There are so many tasty dessert goodies to choose from aside from pie. I am looking forward to my next trip so I can try them all :)

Outrageously expensive at $38 for a mediocre apple pie. Owner was not very friendly. You can do better elsewhere or bring one from home!

Was planning on visiting this place during my trip to Vermont but didn't due to responses from the owner. It seems as though if you voice your opinion and rate them anything less that 5 stars you will get a lengthy and hostile response basically telling you off (I'm sure I'll get one too). That's a good way to run potential customers off. I get it, they're feeling personally attacked through these reviews but the owners seems extremely bitter and angry.

Man. I was so disappointed. We just arrived in VT and excited to have a VT pie/dessert. One pie and six cinnamon bun tray was $72!!! We will never return and hope others read reviews. I can see $20 for a few cinnamon buns, but $42?!!! Crazy.

Very wide selection, everything from lasagna and pizzas to cookie pies. The cinnamon rolls were phenomenal, 5/5. The apple pie was a mixed bag--delicious top crust and filling, but the bottom crust was very undercooked, so 3/5. Averages out to a 4/5.Expensive but that's par for the course in a vacation town. Worth a stop if you're staying in Ludlow. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more options.

Huge selection of freshly made pies, crisps, and other goodies. We got the apple pie which was so good and cinnamon rolls for breakfasts. Will be stopping again when we're back in town!

Sorry to have to post this but we stopped and the place looks really cute on the outside. We wanted a small applesauce loaf cake, 4 small bags of little cookies and 3 pints of ice cream. When he said $84, I about fell over. We put the cake back and it was $54! So heads up!

Absolute Tourist Trap!!! Possibly the most flagrant I've ever experienced. I wish I had taken the time to read the reviews before we decided to go. Nothing else I can add that hasn't been said before. Please read the one star reviews before deciding to go. Unbelievably expensive for what it is. A frozen pie for $32??? So many other wonderful places to go while you visit Vermont!!!

Had to chuckle after reading the reviews-unfortunately, AFTER buying a pie. Having worked in my younger years as a waiter, bartender, and manager of bars and restaurants, I think maybe the owner needs some training in all the areas his critics have noted. Grumpy?...yes! Greedy?...yes! I went to buy a pie, so I was prepared to pay a premium price. I should have asked the price upfront, my bad. But I was shocked when he said $32 PLUS a $3 fee. $35 for a pie! The pie was good, have to note that. Still, on our way back to NJ, we stopped at a farm stand in Manchester (Dutton's -highly recommend!) and bought their own raspberry pie for $18. It was better! Caveat emptor!

This was not what was expected. They had a bad turn with all the rain and their home got damaged. One of the owner's was nice enough to let us into the bakery part of the place, unfortunately everything was frozen, there was no freshly baked good. These pictures you see here are nothing what we saw. We were very disappointed but felt bad and bought some things however when it was totaled up by the owner I was shocked at the price! We bought 3 cinnamon sticks, 2 apple crisps, 1 whoopie pie, and 1 angel food cake loaf the total was $60. I was shocked but didn't have the heart to put anything back. But it is not a place I will revisit or recommend. The bake goods were okay nothing fantastic, actually the apple crisp was way too sweet. The fact that everything was frozen threw me off, I was expecting freshly baked.

Overpriced. Had the apple crisp. The crisp way too much sugar and over baked. Wasn't happy with it at all.Edit....I changed my two star for 1 star because of that nasty response and I wrote something totally different.I changed it back to 2 stars because I wont let you (the owner get to me) I stand by what I wrote.Im sorry. But 32.00 for a pie isoutrageous. I read alot of your responses to other posts. You're just hurting yourself more by reacting to your bad reviews the way you do. Thats very bad bussiness. Attackingpeople for leaving a bad review makes you look bad in the public eye.

My advice to the owner is first to have heat on in the place. (It was freezing). Secondly there are no prices listed which maybe ok if prices are average but here 2 pies cost us over 70.00. One pie none of us liked and the other one was average. Also online there are no prices The man who serviced us was not hospitable and it seemed like he would rather be doing something else. So you should think of having someone on the front who wants to be there and enjoys customer service. I come from hospitality background and understand how hard it is to run a small business but if your going to do it do it right.

TOURIST TRAP ALERT!!!! We were so excited to try this place but should have read the reviews beforehand. I won't even go into the non existent "customer service". The grumpy owner would rather be anywhere else but his own establishment. There are 8 of us so we purchased 1 apple pie, 1 peanut butter chip cheesecake, 1 small carton of cinnamon rolls and 2 Wilcox ice creams pints. Thank God the ice cream was a hit because the pies were a HUGE disappointment. $120 later and the apple pie was borderline edible and the peanut butter chip cheesecake was so terrible that someone thought we accidentally purchased a dessert that was meant for dogs. We haven't tried the cinnamon rolls yet but not expecting much. All the pies were frozen so makes me wonder if they've all been in the freezer for years. Do yourself a favor, and starve before you go here.
