Never delivering any mail, my husband and I stand on our property and see mail car just speed up trough our house, never stop to give us packages. Every time we have to drive to pickup from the office.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

The staff is friendly, and remember our box number without us saying a word most of the time. A few weeks ago I went in there with my 4 year old and I asked him what he thought might be in a package we received and he excitedly said a crocodile. The lady who works there heard him and on our next visit had bought him a plushie crocodile. That’s the kind of small town personal touch that goes a long way and really makes you proud to be part of a community!

The chester vt post office is a class above itself. Jenn and mercedes are always the most pleasant whenever i have problems. Which i usually do. But they are always attentitive to my needs and do the best they can to help! The world needs more of these 2! Thank you!!

it’s insane that when a box is labeled fragile it gets thrown on the porch, or the one time it was pouring and they left my box on the ground in a puddle!

It doesn’t matter if your package is out for delivery, there’s a good chance they’ll just bring it back to the post office and you’ll never get it.

Joke, didn't delivery a time sensitive package because it was 25lbs and in turn didn't deliver any other of my packages that day and was of course on a Saturday so I can't do anything till Monday. When packages are out for delivery on a sunny day you expect them to be delivered. Could of just knocked on our door and we would of carried the package for them. The lazziness is astonishing.

Their customer service has dropped so much that I'm writing my first ever review of anything. I used to strongly defend the team that worked at the post office = understaffed, difficult job but they always managed to have great customer service and knew the community. That is no longer true. Unfortunately there is no alternative for regular mail--such as bills or payments to my business for catering and similar items. Many get "lost" or simply thrown away at the post office. At this point I drive to a neighboring town to send my outgoing mail because I have zero confidence this new postmaster can manage that task. Unfortunately I need to give it one star for the review to post.

Plainly: Rude, unhelpful and condescending. The only element of consistency at this institution is poor service. In my experience this is solely attributable to Chris. Not a wonder that the post office is becoming a thing of the past when you have people like this at the helm…. Vert sad

used to be great. Since the fall of 2022, all new staff who seem to be ill prepared for their positions. I understand staff shortages but wow, days of no mail delivery with no notice, randomly changing window hours, make this one local post office to avoid.

Horrible. Just horrible service. Business and law firms beware before you open up shop in the area, because you cannot count on these individuals to deliver mail in a timely fashion. Two weeks for a letter to go to the next town over is simply unacceptable. They look for reasons to not deliver your packages, and if they can't find one, they make one up. I'm tired of these people making the entire area come to them for pickup, especially since it's 20 miles round trip for some of the towns they serve. Incompetent, rude, and flat out liars. Oh, and you can't call them because they refuse to answer the phone. Strongly considering filing an IG complaint. The community deserves better, they are repeatedly failing in their duties, and they should be relieved for cause.

Wish I could rate less than 1 star! We haven't been getting our mail for about a week now. They don't even come down our road anymore. I called the post office and can't even speak to a real person! ?
