I got a jeep from him with tire light on won't go off I now have to pay for a new sensor because he's unwilling to fix the issue or refund any amount due to this issues as well as the back tailgate door not locking so also now have to pay to have that fixed as well so not recommended buying from this dealership!

This car dealership is nothing but excellent. Not only did they sell us a great car for a great price, but since then we've had a few issues (totally not their fault) and they have been so helpful on the phone and in person. I would wholly recommend them for anyone and will use Prim Auto for all my car work including the yearly stickers, tyre changes and regular check ups etc. Trustworthy, helpful and patient- a gem in Vermont!

My wife and I, from Canada, were cycling the Lake Champlain area, carrying our luggage on our bikes. About 3 miles from Prim Auto my wife caught a staple gun staple in her rear tire. She was riding an e-bike. I was able to patch and inflate the tube enough to keep riding but knew I would need to change the tube before we could complete our 40 mile days bike ride. Changing the tube on the rear wheel of this ebike requires a lot of work. And the wrench I had with me broke!
We were riding toward the local gas stations we knew where up ahead of us on the road, hoping to buy the wrench I would need, when my wife saw the Prim Auto sign and asked if we should try to stop there. We did. What a SAVE!
I explained that I would like to buy or borrow a wrench of the proper size to start the tire changing process. The owner stayed with us the entire time we were working on the bike and helped out from time to time. He brought out a rubber mat to work on. He lent us the wrench we needed, cutters for the plastic ties holding the wiring in place, he gave me a pair of disposable gloves to keep my hands clean, and gave me replacement electrical ties to redo the wiring upon completion. And he provided valuable advice during the work. It took about 30-45 minutes to change the tube but he stayed with us the whole time. After we were finished I pleaded with him to take some money in thanks for his help and the shop supplies. He refused. Thanks to Prim Auto we were able to continue on with our journey and arrived at our North Hero destination an hour late but happy.

I bought a 2011 Subaru Outback about a month ago. I wanted to wait to make a review until my inspection was due. To be honest the negative reviews made me very nervous. However when I got there they were very friendly. They let me look at the cars I wanted and never tried to steer me in any direction to look at a different vehicle or something out of my price range. The only thing that I had to have fixed to pass inspection was 3 bulbs for my headlights. A very minor and cheap fix. As a woman who also brought a woman friend with me to find a suitable and safe vehicle for myself and children; I was never once treated any differently compared to some sellers who try to take advantage of women when they are on the market for a car. No used car will be 100 perfect. Do your research and ask questions. I will definitely recommend to anyone who is in need of a used car!

Do not recommend. I bought a 2012 Subaru Outback that was supposedly inspected the month before I bought it. I was told it needed nothing and was in perfect working order. Less than one week after buying, I was left broken down on the side of the interstate. I was quoted by a Subaru dealer for over $12,000 worth of repairs on a car I just paid $10,000 for. The car needs a new transmission and had two engine oil leaks needing immediate attention. This car should have failed the VT state inspection, but instead it was passed and was represented as being in perfect order. I spent two weeks back and fourth on the phone with Prim Auto because they said they wanted to help make it right. I was never given an accurate quote for repairs. Every time I called, they told me something different and to call tomorrow. I asked for a quote in writing and never received one. I was strung along for over two weeks and ultimately decided to get the repairs done elsewhere. Several other reviews and complaints online suggest similar situations. Poor customer service.

Jon helped me and my wife get our new car and worked with us through every step. We had a small problem with it, we sent an email, and he got back to us asap and helped us figure out the problem, it was us not knowing the new car yet. Very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend looking here for your new car.

Stay away from this “dealer.” Bought my sister a car and it broke down a week after the purchase. This dealer is sketchy and not worth the hassle of going to. Go to a better dealer, this is no good. Consider this your sign.
