We were visiting VT when my puppy suddenly got sick. I called every vet in the area and Dr. Wendell was the only one who would see him AFTER HOURS! The next day he called to check on him!! My own vet doesn’t do that! I can’t thank him enough for seeing Quinn and relieving my stress over the situation. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I've been taking my animals here for years, for medical and check ups and have had no issues. My review is based on boarding only. I just boarded my 12 year old pug here for 4 nights. Was told it was $30 a night. He hasn't boarded there in years but the place I usually board him which isn't often had to close for health reasons, so I thought I would board him here sense this is his vet. I went to pick him up today and the lady at the desk says it will be $200. I'm expecting it to be $120. I'm like excuse me! She said well he seemed very anxious and he had quite a few accidents so they had to charge more for cleaning up the poop. Seriously? Sorry my dog poops. Then she says we'll maybe you should consider how often you board him with us. I haven't boarded him there in years. I found that very rude. My pug is the friendliest little guy. So no worries. I don't board him much but they will not have to worry about me boarding him there again if I have to board him. They lost my business over this. Then they had charged me for 5 nights instead of 4, so I called back and got that part worked out, and told her I was upset how rudely I was spoken to and I also asked like how many times he pooped and she said every night, that there was poop in his kennel every morning. Well sorry my dog poops at night, and he is 12 years old and can't hold it till morning. I am very disappointed in this place after today and will not be bringing my dog back.

Aeolus has been my sister's vet for years, so when I decided to change vets even though they are over an hour from me, I decided on them. I called them, explained my situation, that my current vet said in all likelihood my senior dog had bladder cancer and that I needed to get an ultrasound. They had me come right over! Ultrasounded her, took a urine sample and determined that she did not have bladder cancer but had a pretty bad UTI, which she had been getting frequently. They discovered that she was being undertreated in her dosage amount for the UTI's and that is why they kept recurring. I was very impressed with the caring, gentle way they treated my 15 year young companion. Bob, her vet is very professional, yet very down to earth and caring. Explaining things very well to me, the frantic dog Mom. Thank you Bob and staff for all you do!

We are recent transplants from TX, having just recently moved to upstate NY, unknowing that 24hr clinics are turning away customers and regular offices aren't accepting new clients. In a desperate attempt to help our dog we reached out to Aeolus, willing to drive an hour and a half to get our dog the help he needs. We were connected to the emergency line - a man answered the phone (11/11 10:47PM). After I explained what's going on he said, "you're calling me at 10:00 to tell me this?" I was honestly dumbfounded. I said yes, and explained my failed efforts to find help. He asked "why didn't I call the Latham clinic." I explained to him that I already had, and again, they would not see us. He then told me he can't help me right now and to call back during business hours. I honestly hope anyone at Aeolus can go back and listen to the call because this man clearly did not want to be there. He could have said, no I'm so sorry we're short staffed, we can't help right now - but he was really rude and acted as if I was out of line for being willing to go to any length to help my dog. I would be seriously concerned for the level of care this man actually wants to bring to your pet. He made sure we understood he was not looking to offer a smidgen of basic courtesy to a pet owner.

Wonderful group of caring folks. We have taken our dogs here for many years and Dr. Bob and others have always met their needs.
