Holy cats! Nestled in the tiny mountain village of East Dover, VT exists the most charming little store that has become a hub for the community. Dover the Moon General Store is one of the most welcoming places I have visited, with most visits becoming a time for human connection around life and activity in the mountains. The store not only carries unique arts, activities, and gifts that spotlight local independent artists, but also holds fundraisers to support the community. There are few places like this little home away from home, and the fact that it sits in such an unexpected little place in Vermont just adds to what makes it special.
