I believe all funeral homes in the World Should take A.W. Rich Funeral Home the style of taking care of the dead. We were so taken back when you played a song of choice upon your departure of taking the departed away. I loved my brother so much Philippe Jolicoeur I wish he could of been awake to experience what we all felt. It was very mystical for us who experienced this incredible vibe of having my brother being taken away. Warmest Regards to you both
Brandon & Ashley and blessing to you as well…Sincerely
Doris Jolicoeur Big Sur, California

I would give ZERO stars if I could!
My father was a longtime friend and neighbor of John Workman, the owner of this establishment.
Despite their personal connection, the service we received was deeply disappointing and far below expectations.
The experience was so poor, my mother made me promise NEVER to hold her funeral here. Thankfully, there are many reputable funeral homes in the area that provide compassionate and professional care.
I urge you to speak with other who have used this business and verify their experiences for yourself.
You'll likely reach the same conclusion we did.

Over the last 8 years my family has entrusted A.W. Rich Funeral Home with several of our loved ones. The owners and staff go above and beyond with their level of compassion and care during these difficult times. They are gentle, informative and so helpful with their guidance. There are many things to consider when a loved one passes and they give you all the information and tools you need to navigate this process. I cannot recommend them enough.

It was difficult to get quotes on the various options for burying my mother's ashes - the "ball park" ranges ($6-8k) were triple what I expected, so we decided to just have my mother's ashes buried without any services (we would do our own service). Thier quote for this: $3096.00. The Essex Junction Cemetery Association is doing it for $550. This industry can prey on people who are distraught and MUST make quick decisions at a time when money is emotionally unimportant. Use caution when dealing with any funeral home.

I can’t give this funeral home enough praise for what they did for my extended family. The care and respect they gave my family member was more than any of us could ask for. From start to finish they took care of everything and made the process so smooth and as painless as it could be. I can’t recommend them enough for end of life services.

A .W. Rich funeral home in Essex/Fairfax (direct cremation) went above and beyond our expectations. The love and care that they poured on us and our father gave us great comfort knowing that he will be ok. We are forever grateful for everything that you have done. All of you! ???❤️

For the most part things went smoothly with the direct cremation services.Until it came time for the pick up of my dad's cremains. As I reached for the door bell ,the door was snatched open with the statement of "Did I scare you"?As the grieving daughter i was in more shock than before.Seems a bit unprofessional. You be the judge. I wish this on no one.As god is my witness True Story. JTC
