I had the privilege of working with Martha Bird, a kitchen specialist at Lowe's in Essex, on a kitchen project. Martha's expertise, dedication, and professionalism were unparalleled. Despite working with numerous designers across Vermont, Martha stood out significantly.She made extraordinary efforts, including coming in on her day off to meet with us and finding a specific countertop style that wasn't readily available. Not impressed with the company you use for warranty work on appliances. I’ve been trying to get my washer fixed for 6 weeks now and it looks like it’s going to be another 2 1/2 weeks before they get me back on the schedule. They have rescheduled me now twice and came out once and didn’t have part so they had to order it. They were supposed to be out today to install the new parts but had to cancel again. Very frustrating since I haven’t been able to use my washer for 6 weeks. Maybe you should set some better standards with this company.

Tried to buy a refrigerator only to have delivery pushed 3 times. They lost the refrigerator, and then told me they had delivered. Turns out they delivered and installed at the wrong house. Unfortunate! Something needs to improve.

So unhappy with Lowes delivery of my washing machine. I bought it on line, because it could be delivered on one day. I arranged for people to be here, I received notice that it was coming. Then the morning of received new notice that it would be arriving 3 days later! Tried to get thru to ESSEX Lowes as this was the store it was coming from. NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE!! I won't use them again.

My boyfriend and I went to this establishment to purchase some insulation board. When we got there we found what we were looking for but needed more than what was on the shelf, so we decided to go up front and ask if there was anymore inventory that was not on the shelves. My boyfriend stated they only have 12 boards and we needed 16. The man behind the counter looked puzzled on how he could help us out so my boyfriend then had to ask him if he was able to look it up in the system to see how many sheets were in store. Not only could he not find the product but he could not comprehend what was being asked of him. Then a second man came up and tried to help. He knew more about searching in the system but still could not give us an answer as to the total amount that was on the premises. He said the “best he could do for us” was call someone from that department to that isle to help us. We said okay, the man called over the store speaker to please help us in the specific isle. Not only did we wait there for 10 min but NO ONE showed up. The real kicker was right before we went to leave an employee walked by our isle looked at us and proceeded to walk to the next isle over and just stand there. We ended up walking out, The thing is my boyfriend knows they stock overstock behind the building so we drove around and took a look for ourselves. What do you know they had a fully wrapped skid of what we were looking for. Needless to say, Lowe’s needs to hire people that are educated and that understand what they’re doing or they need to train them better because it was absolutely unacceptable that we had this experience there. With the prices of today this company needs to do better with their hiring process and decisions!

From now I will be going to Home Depot for all of my purchases. Unfortunately, Lowe's and their customer service team have greatly disappointed me. As someone who works in customer service, I know how important it is to give every customer the best experience possible. However, Lowe's has failed to do that on each occasion I've been here. To be told that my purchase is lost and nobody knows what's going on is not something you want to hear after making a big purchase. While I understand mistakes happen and this is a busy time of year for everyone, to only be apologized to after I brought up how unprofessional and lacking it was in the customer service department certainly says a lot. Nobody tried to resolve the issue of my missing order or bothered to look into it. For nobody to help but rather just issue the refund shows just how little this place values its customers.My family purchased a washing machine and dryer on November 28th and scheduled the delivery for today. Yesterday we recieved a calling saying they "couldn't find my order" because "someone else's name was on it." Later that day (December 7th) they called again to say that delivery would be today, December 8th between 12pm-4pm. An hour before the delivery window we recieve an email stating our delivery was "rescheduled for unknown reasons." No one from the store bothered to call nor reach out. It took three times to call the store before someone finally answered and transferred our call to an associate that could help. She informed us that "she didn't work yesterday so she has no idea what's going on." She proceeded to inform us that half our order was missing and that she "would look into it or issue a refund." There were no updates after that.Went to Home Depot and the employees there were far more personable and willing to help. They took the time to explain the different washers and dryers they had and helped to find the one that would best suit my family's needs. Not only that but the employee who assisted us made sure we knew all of the charges and let us know that we would be CALLED with any updates or changes to our order. Something that Lowe's does not appear to do.Went back to Lowe's to get a refund and it took three employees and one manager to issue a refund, one of which claimed our card "was never charged because the items were still in pick up." However, bank statements would prove otherwise. This same employee proceeded to ask if we "really wanted the delivery fee refunded." The items were NEVER delivered so I am not entirely sure why they would ask me that. A manager was paged who never showed up to assist me and my family which demonstrates to me the lack of care they have for their customers. Home Depot went above and beyond to not only price match us but never once made me feel out of place or like I was bothering them. The same can not be said for the Lowe's employees who made me feel as though I was the one inconveniencing them. I recommend that anyone looking to purchase appliances and have them delivered goes to Home Depot. Save yourself the headache of dealing with Lowe's.

Ordered washer/dryer from the Essex Jct Lowes in Nov.and paid to have it delivered. Delivery day was set for today for my convenience, and all of a sudden they cannot find my order. Placed 3 phone calls in the morning twice i got hung up on before I finally spoke to someone who said they have no idea what happened to the order. Last night I got a phone call with a delivery time, and an email saying it was on the truck and ready for delivery, today they cant find it. Went to Home Depot explained and got exceptional customer service. After purchasing another set from HD I went to lowes to get a refund and they gave me the run around, and could not figure out how to refund my delivery / haul away fees. The associate had the audacity to ask if I really wanted my fees refunded. Then proceeded to tell me that my card was never charged because they don't charge until after the product is delivered. They paged a manager for assistance who never bothered to come over, the girl saw another manager and had him come over. This whole process took an additional 45 min. At no time did any associate nor the manager apologize for the inconvenience it caused, wasting my day, the extra running around and having to take a day off from work for nothing. The fact that no one bothered to rectify the issues shows how little they care about customer service. I suggest going to Home Depot if you actually want quality customer service. They also matched the price I paid at lowes for a more expensive set.

Clean. Decent selection. Good head cashier. Some shelf/labeling discrepancies (maybe IRP fudging?). Much like when I started working management at Lowe’s, there were just a handful of hustlers here working and the majority of employees hanging around talking.

This will be a lengthy review on all fronts... Starting off the customer service representative, and the acting store manager, or extremely unprofessional. The customer service representative had to call the acting store manager because she said "we don't have a store manager because they walked off the job yesterday." if that doesn't say some thing about this location and organization I don't know what else does. As far as value and selection, I made a purchase for a multi pack of two different items and the website, specified a Price, apparently, which was incorrect, and the store was not willing to make it right by honoring the purchase, instead insisting that I take what they are offering or a refund. "Don't you think it's too good to be true", was the response of the acting manager. I can honestly say I received better service at Home Depot and that's saying something...
