I don't do a lot of reviews, but I was at this store last night after calling ahead and was quite pleased with my experience.
My call was answered quickly by a young man who was kind enough to go down the aisle and tell me what they had in stock for the item I was looking for and where to find it when I got there.
When I arrived, the store was clean, everything put on a shelf, and most everything was priced in some way. A young man greeted me and asked if there was anything he could help me find. When I was finally ready to check out, there was a bit of a line due to the time of day and he was the only employee (a common problem everywhere these days), but the line moved quickly and he even gave me a $5 coupon without me asking.
At least last night, the store deserves more than 3.9 stars!

Went in with a twelve dollar purchase and was told he couldn’t break a 50 dollar bill! Then it was suggested by the cashier that I buy my goods somewhere else! What customer service???

Kathleen was our cashier on 2 separate occasions. She remembered us when we came back. We live in Florida and were delayed returning because of Hurricane Milton. Ugh! Anyway, I loved how personable she was with us. The store had a lot of merchandise to be put out and possibly not enough staff to put it out quickly. We don’t kind and neither did the locals. Clearly customer service is #1 and I felt valued.

Stopped by around 6pm. When I got out of my car, a person in a neighboring car kindly told me that the store was closed — store hours listed say open until 10pm! Bummer.

good, convenient store! low prices and very efficient if you need something : beauty products, snacks, etc.

Stopped in around 8pm...lights all on, but the doors were locked. Hours posted say open until 10pm. This place is such a joke. Never know when they'll be open or closed. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this business.

Over the past several weeks I have stopped to shop six times. Five of the six times there has been a sign on the door "...closed until further notice..." Very frustrating!

Fran is a worker at Fairfax Dollar General. She is a joy to see and is always helpful, happy, efficient, knowledgeable and works very hard. I just wanted to say a few kind words about a very kind person.

Least friendly staff you’ll ever encounter at a Dollar General. One female cashier in particular won’t utter a word to you while you check out. I thank her when she hands me my receipt and she just grunts. Plus the store looks like a train wreck every time I’m in there. Never a positive experience in this store.

Filthy store, it’s gone downhill mainly due to corporate greed, ignorance & all around stupidness. They keep sending too much, cut hours, threaten the store manager and expect way too much, when paying so little. The company doesn’t care about their employees, managers or customers, they just want money. #PutInATicket

They can't seem to be able to stay open during posted hours. Went tonight, and despite all postings stating they're open until 10PM, the door is locked at 9:30PM, and two employees behind the counter talking. One sees me at the door and proceeds to turn around. Great service
