Went for a wedding was really excited based on the other reviews but was really really disappointed. Cabins are clearly not cleaned between stays- mouse droppings all over the kitchen counter. Events coordinator Gretchen was horrible, lacked all social skills and refused to be helpful. Wedding itinerary said breakfast was until 10 but they stopped serving at 9:30 when I explained the disconnect one would probably just keep the food out for 30 more minutes but she refused. Any time you asked for clarity like “can my stroller fit in the van shuttle to the lake” her reply was “maybe” Food was not good, everything felt like they were cutting corners to be cheap. Lake is no where near the cabins and has very small beach, looks like no one cares for the grounds and picnic are near the lake. Staff lacked hospitality and basic social skills. Emma and Jay were the only bright light, we met them at the lake, they were very kind to our kids and helped later on in the dining hall.

We have enjoyed family reunions at venues across the country, including beaches, resorts and family camp. This one takes the prize. A precious gem. Top notch food (and we fancy ourselves "foodies"). Friendly, energetic counselors and staff, and an ace administrative leadership team. We hope to return!

I'm a Vermont wedding photographer who photographs at dozens of venues every year. Ohana shines brighter than all the rest, and I always tell clients who book their weddings there that they made the best decision for their celebration. Why? First, Ohana is in the most beautiful place, tucked in the woods with a stunning view of Lake Fairlee and the surrounding mountains, but also adjacent to the highway and other services. Next is the hospitality- Gretchen has poured her heart and soul into getting to know each couple, and spends countless hours preparing for every wedding. I've never been stressed photographing a wedding at Ohana because she makes sure everything runs smoothly, and has fun in the process. The other staff also works there because they love it, and is genuinely interested in the happiness of their guests. Finally, the whole experience! Having your own private beach and cove for your wedding is such a cool experience for guests, and the number of other activities is a great way for your family and friends to hang out without getting bored. I've brought my husband and daughter for family camp now, since we love the place so much!

Ohana is more than an amazingly beautiful place. Ohana is an amazingly beautiful spirit. A spirit that resides in the hearts and actions of all who run the camp. And that camp is perfection for families of all ages who want to do the most fun activities together, to eat the most delicious food, to have time for walks, runs, swims, conversations and to enjoy the beauty of fireflies, the choir of birds, the grandeur of nature ... all in the company of a staff who you will want to take home when your session ends. Our large, multigenerational family does not agree on all things, but we are 100% on Ohana !

This past summer we spent a week at Ohana, (family of 5, children ages 12, 10, 6) and had a great time. No electronics! Great food, great people, lots of outdoor time: swimming, kayaking, exploring, hiking. The kids said it was their best vacation ever (tied with DisneyWorld). We are coming back next year!

We've been going to Ohana for five years. It's the greatest. Everybody is happy there. Activities are so fun. The food is great, staff is so friendly, and surroundings are beautiful. It's also amazing to unplug for a week.

Glamping Wedding Perfection!Almost a year later and our friends and family are STILL talking about our wedding! We had the perfect weekend getaway for our family and friends. Most of the guests were from out of town and we wanted everyone to be able to stay on site where we got married. Lake Fairlee is a special place for my family and I wanted to share that with everyone. It was also nice that there is NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION!A big thank you to Gretchen and Vanessa for helping us with logistics, our crazy families, and wild group of friends. And the food... this isn't your normal "camp food." Chef Jason did an amazing job with blending our families cultures into what my husband and I love to eat. Thanks Ohana! XO

It feels like summer camp, but better. These are the rustic accommodations you remember from summer camp - platform tents and cabins. Though this is decidedly a step up from summer camp lodging (electricity and fireplaces and plumbing, oh my!)We've been coming here on and off for 10 years. From Day 1 The staff has always been warm and welcoming. The counselors are fantastic with the kids. There is always something to do -- and there is always nothing to do, pick whichever is your preference. :) There's a great little on-site library which doubles as a small playroom for the very little ones.Have I mentioned the food yet? You will NOT go hungry. It is seriously fantastic and NOT like the summer camps of your childhood. The kitchen staff is willing and able to work with your allergy concerns and dietary restrictions. And for those picky eaters you may have in your household, just ask - there's always the sandwich option for your kiddo that only likes PB+J (or Sunbutter+J.)Leaving camp is bittersweet - but I like to think that the lingering feeling of being at camp spreads to the rest of my life when I return to my day-to-day. I often find myself taking a picture from the cabin window and installing it as my desktop wallpaper when I return to the daily grind.

As both a camper and former staff member, there are only wonderful things to say about Ohana. I was first introduced to it through some family many years ago, and there has not been a Summer since where I did not go.Ohana provides one of the most valuable and heart-warming experiences for anyone who goes. There are a multitude of activities (from boating and swimming to pottery and crafting) to please anyone. My family and I returned each year to try new ones, continue progressing through old ones, and to see the warm and welcoming faces of friends and family. The Fairlee region in Vermont is gorgeous, and the camp itself provides activities that utilize the land to its fullest. I highly recommend this camp to anyone looking for a relaxing week with friends and family. Try something new, be comfortable in VT, and meet some new and friendly faces :)

We've spent five summers coming to Ohana with our kids. It's been so fun to experience it from a new lens each year as we meet new families, and watch the kids grow more independent. It's also a true vacation, as we put away our devices, let someone else do all of the cooking, and spend time trying new activities, swimming and relaxing. Great staff, beautiful location

Oh how all 22 family members loved every moment of our time at Ohana!! Thank you Ohana for every moment- from your welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable staff to your outstanding, delicious meals to the amazing crafts and games available all day to the tranquil afternoons on the lake. Each moment was a pleasure and we as a family were truly able to connect with each other as well as make new friends amidst the beauty that Lake Fairlee provides. Ohana will be in our hearts all year long?.
