World class.Simply a wonderful experience where the only thing that exceeds the beverages is the kind & thoughtful service.

Amazing experience. Tons of exclusives with menu rotating daily. Highly recommended especially if you’re partial to spontaneous or wild fermentation beer. Just wish they had a bit more food although I’m sure this intentional given how busy they can get. Wednesdays and Thursdays are the best days to visit; the brewers are working and there’s no line to get in or order.

Serene location and literally the best beer on the planet. Not sure what else you could be looking for in terms of breweries

I visited back on Dec 01, 2021. I was bored and somehow got a kick out of reading the bad reviews so I figured I would share my experience. So after a 4+ hour road trip, being taken down the countriest of country roads by my GPS and no cell service to speak of, I subsequently slid off the road into a ditch doing some nice damage to my vehicle. Thank God for a local with a tow strap. Once we were back on civilized roads a local plow almost took us out. The mission had to continue of course.I realized too late that there was a reservation system so I reserved and showed up early to see what would happen. Thankfully it wasn't over the top busy and the time of the reservation wasn't really given too much credence. After a short wait in a badly laid out line, and some indecision with the menu I had a pour of Charlie. It was nice to see something low gravity that I could enjoy considering I wasn't too thrilled about potentially sliding or being run off the icy roads on the way out. Unlike some other reviewers experiences, I found the staff to be pleasant. The girl working the bar was very nice and helpful.I enjoyed my beer out on the deck because we weren't able to sit inside for one reason or another. It was rather full and maybe it had something to do with the reservation process, I don't remember (I don't like boisterous indoor bar areas anyhow). So I took in a very nice snowy view of some barrels stacked in a field down the hill. It was also amusing to people watch the French Canadian hipsters swirling and sniffing their sour beers as if it were the finest of fine French wines. On the way out we stopped to grab some bottles to go and the line was long but not the worst I have ever been in. This line was mostly because of some more French Canadians buying hand truck after hand truck of beer (I would love to see how they smuggled that back). The walk back to the vehicle was kinda sketchy due to the ice and snow and now added imbalance of having to carry bottles and cans. Yet I survived.Overall it was not what I expected and yet everything I expected. It was a fun drive aside from the unintended off roading. Best to visit in the spring, fall, or summer I imagine.I'd definitely stop by again if I was in the area but I think one hyped up pilgrimage was enough considering there is a place local to me putting out the same types of beers in a similar setting that I enjoy more. But taste is subjective. It's worth the visit at least once especially if you can sneak in during the off-peak times. Not sure how crazy things get these days with the craft beer industry leveling out a bit.If you are up for an adventure or just passing through to parts unknown I would recommend stopping by and enjoying a beer on the deck. And don't get too crazy about inconveniences, it's a brewery not a Michelin Star restaurant.

Disappointing at best, and some of these beers are downright distasteful. The philosophy here seems to be "make beer like you would wine" and the end result fails hard. Don't bother with any of the IPAs or IIPAs. The darker, heavier beers are really all they have that's palatable. I've heard this place used to be great, but these days it seems they're more about the esoteric than the flavorful. At least they let you bring your own food.

This place is highly praised by the connaisseurs. Great quality products, alot of varieties all year round, they give back (A lot) to the community. Employees are super friendly, they know their products and are allways polite. The place looks incredible, it's family friendly. I never visit Vermont without stopping there.

The hype train gets ridiculous at times. This time, it's pretty spot on. Is HF worth the drive? Probably. It's very, very good. Just be warned that cell service/maps programs may fail near the brewery. Also, bring food (unless they have a truck that day) as you will want to stay for a while.

Best experience ever here. It was a perfect day and the beer was amazing. I have a new love for saisons. I will forever be a stead head. All of my aging beer will point toward Northern Vermont. Can't wait to return.

Great imperial stout! There were plenty of beer connoisseurs here, so before I tried anything I felt like this place is legit. Staff is friendly. Not alot of room to sit so you'll have to fight for a table. But if you're just here for good beer, you're golden.

Amazing outdoor atmosphere with great craft beer in the middle of nowhere. Took us an hour to drive from Stowe but it was a beautiful Nov day with temps in the high 40s so we brought a sandwich along and had a wonderful lunch outside on the picnic tables. We have been here before when the place was mobbed with people so today was a nice change, very quiet. Check the online list of beers to make sure you like something that is on tap. Limited beer sales to go in cans or bottles. Bring a sandwich, have a beer and enjoy the views. No cell service here so be sure to get directions back to your hotel while you are on hill farmsteads wifi.

TLDR: Poor visit experience and average beers!Location:Last 30-35 miles stretch is on rural roads, even unpaved at some stretches. At the end of the drive you are greeted with open parking in the uneven fields.Brewery experience:No proper lines or queues. you just line up at the entrance which leads to 4 counters. Normally breweries have their top beers on drafts. Over here neither they were on tap nor retail. They have only one bathroom inside and outside. Both of them have long lines. Currently they are the No. 1 brwery in the world. They are just fleecing people.Beers:The farmhouse ale which was first in the list was so sour that we couldn’t even take more than a few sips. Such a bad beer was never tasted before. Their Edward was the only beer which was drinkable from the list. These beers were mediocre at best.We tasted below beers:Edward: Decent IPA but nothing compared to Heady Topper of The Alchemist or King Julius of Tree House Brewery.Susan: Nothing to sing home about.Farmhouse ale: The worst beer was never tasted before.Viola Sofia: Beer was ok but they serve only less than half the glass.

If you enjoy craft beer, Hill Farmstead is a bucket list item you need to cross off. Wow. It's situated on a beautiful area in Vermont with scenic views, outdoor seating, and a tap list you truly dream of drinking from. We were lucky on our date to drink a variety of limited beers including Samuel. Even better, was their wood-fired pizza food truck (Hook & Reel?). That was the BEST wood-fired pizza I've ever had. Props to them. As you can see from other reviews, it's worth the drive... all day long. Great staff, great location, great beers. You need to go here. Seriously.
