The owners and staff are on a first name basis with customers, making everyone feel welcome, relaxed, and energized. It operates as both a grill and a market, serving as a great place to stop for a bite to eat or to pick up basics and groceries. The grill closes at 2 p.m., so it is best to arrive early. The inside counter is often hopping with happy and friendly customers. While there is no Wi-Fi, the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying the moment. Many visitors, including those who discover it unexpectedly, plan to return again, finding it a wonderful and perfect place.

Really? Good food had the special Swedish meatballs. Companion had very good tomato basil soup with Swiss cheese, grilled sandwich. Great service.

What a great place...we stopped in for breakfast after passing everything in Montpelier and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Down to earth, easy to converse with, locals are great. Real people with a sense of humor. The food was good home cooking and reasonably priced.
