If you want fresh Vermont maple syrup, go straight to the source. The Franklin Farm is at the end of Weatherhead Hollow Rd in Guilford and is easy to find. They have a small gift shop attached to the barn with a padlock on the door. I knocked on the farmhouse and was advised that the padlock isn't locked, and that the shop is self service. I love Vermont. There is no debit or credit card machine, so be prepared with cash. I had just enough on hand. They sell various sized containers of this years maple syrup batch, as well as fresh eggs from their chickens. The honor system is in full effect, so act appropriately. I grew up down the road from here, so supporting a local farm is very important to me. I can't wait to share the tubs of maple syrup with friends and family. PS - it's less expensive to buy it here too, rather than going to the store, but the Guilford Store accepts debit and credit cards if you don't have cash and it's the same farm product.

They were so sweet! Came all the way from cape cod to visit this farm and it sure was worth it! I look forward to visiting in the future!❤️ Also the black horse was really friendly!

This is the second time we come here because the ground beef is worth it. There were no eggs available on this trip, but we will be back =)
