Not so big but still amazingly beautiful. We went there for viewing fall colors around vermont and hampshire, we took a halt at this place for lunch and the beautiful and colorful valley and the bridge ofcourse. Being a vegetarian I prefer carrying my lunch so we just parked our car there, there was enough parking space but still if you are unlucky or visit there on peak time, you might not get the parking. So after parking car, we took our lunch, then went to see the bridge and the valley, there is a walkable place at the side of bridge. Watch videos of the valley. Later we found a trail over there since it was small we decided to go on that, it was misses in our research about the place. I must say it was a great find as we found a small dam over there at the end and the small power plant. It was amazing view. While taking photos over there it starts to get dark and we had to reach to our hotel so we quickly wrap up everything and left the place. I recommend this state park if you are nearby for watching fall colors. Just an addon, there is a camping area as well so if you have plans for that do a pre reservation.Hope you will have fun, next time you visit. Ciao !Picnic area: Small and nice. Just make sure to not litter the place.

Well spent 2 hour visit. About an hour seeing and learning about the birds in rehabilitation. Another hour on the canopy walk which is an elevated walkway among the trees. A tower is a great accent to the walk as it rises above the canopy to provide beautiful views.

This was a great first impression of Quechee state park. So far the updates look great and the cabins are huge. The quarter slot showers are spacious and clean. Even the restrooms didn't have any cobbs. It's hugely pet friendly with doggie bags strategically placed throughout the campgrounds. Don't skip out on visiting the gorge right next door. There's a camp site entrance that makes for a convenient loop into the campsites, with bridges and water features along the way. Overall It was a phenomenal experience.Playground: There were multiple horseshoe pits with score boards, placed around the campgrounds.Restrooms: The bathrooms and showers were neat with no cobwebs to be found.Dog-friendliness: There's a ton of open areas for dogs to play and doggy bags posted around the campgrounds.

Quechee State Park was quiet but not completely isolated. We enjoyed the ease of access to the gorge right from the park, and the shops within walking distance.Everything was clean and the ranger was super helpful. We saw a million (8) red spotted newts while we were there as well.

Lovely campground. Most of the sites are huge - the gravel area in my site #3 measured about 100' by 18'. Sites are separated by 50' or more of woods. Big picnic table, standard fire ring with grate. Sites in the back and to the right are close to the gorge itself. The only con - it's very close to US Hwy 4, and the vehicle noise is noticeable.

Great little place with lots to do very close by. Close to both interstates but absolutely silent once you’re in the campground. The layout is very easy going with lots of space between campsites. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. Many dining choices nearby as well as grocery stores and shops.

I went camping opening weekend in May and, unbeknownst to me, my dog lost her tags. Your staff found it and sent it to me in the mail. Not only that, but they wrote an adorable letter to my dog.Ive been meaning to write this review for months, but thank you! It was a small kindness that made me smile.I go to the campground every year and will continue to return.

Very nice campground! We stayed at site 7 and we thought the neighbors were a bit too close but the nice clean bathrooms/showers were very close. All sites seemed very spacious and the wood and ice were very fair prices!Restrooms: Very well maintained. I saw staff members checking on them often! Never dirty, always stocked. There's a shelf by the mirrors with an outlet if you bring you hair dryer. Showers were cheaper than the website showed. 75c for 7 minutes, $1.00 for 10 minutes and I can't remember the rest.

This is our third year camping in Quechee State Park. We love the location, the fact that it's a quiet campsite, that we can walk into the gorge every day for a swim, its location near VINS and the fact that we have a ice cream store and some other quick eats across the road.Restrooms: The rest rooms are clean and fairly new and showers work with quarters and showers are separate "rooms".

Beautiful views worth a short stop. Quechee Gorge State Park is easily accessible off of Hwy 4. The hiking paths around the gorge are mostly easy hiking with wide paths. However, the best views of the gorge are from the bridge. That being the case, you really do not needs to walk the trails unless you want that experience.

I reviewed this a few years ago and nothing has changed. Clean bathrooms, clean showers....all newer. We loved it last time and we loved it again. Large wooded campsites. Great field for flashlight tag at night?. Dirt/ gravel road inside the campground. Short hike to the gorge from the campground...easy hike with a very short section that is steep but totally doable with kids. There is no playground, only the large field. Bring balls, nets, and anything else you do in a field!

Even close together the campsites are secluded and private enough to make this a very enjoyable getaway. And the showers are hot just remember to bring your quarters.
