Jay Country Store is an awesome, eclectic general store with something for everyone. It is a skillful combination of a sandwich shop, gift store, outfitter, toy store, candy shop, and convenience store. The store has a little of everything, including gas, groceries, beer, liquor, clothing, souvenirs, and ski accessories. There is an eat-in area with good food like paninis. The staff are super friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Visitors might also meet a friendly and soft cat in the store. Prices are reasonable for a mountain resort. It is a gem and a must-stop for forgotten supplies, souvenirs, or just to look around.

I sat with Oreo the cat for an hour she purred like a motor and fell asleep in my lap. If you come across her in your visit here, please give her all my love! I wish I could have stayed as her warm lap to sleep in forever. And her fur was as soft as a rabbit! Also I got a panini that was really good, and the staff was nice... read full comment
