I have long been aware of the high regard in which this shop is held—not only among youth alpine racers, their parents, and coaches but also among top-level FIS racers—for their exceptional service, extensive knowledge, and technical expertise. However, residing in the southern part of northern NJ, my two sons’ alpine ski teams are located quite a distance from this shop, and we hadn’t had the opportunity to experience their services firsthand.
Recently, my youngest son misplaced one of the rear spoiler of his ATOMIC Redster STI 110 boots. We discovered this issue just before departing for a weekend training with his ski team in Queensbury, NY. Early that morning, I contacted Peak Performance Ski Shop, and they promptly offered to assist if I sent photos via email. Given the over three-hour drive to the team’s location, we had to leave shortly after sending the email. Meanwhile, my wife and I contacted several ski shops that were open at that time to inquire about the availability of the part and the possibility of repair, but none had the part in stock or could perform the repair. Fortunately, upon arrival in Queensbury, we visited a local ski shop right at opening time, and they managed to find the part and were able to repair the boots. During this time, I couldn’t update Peak Performance Ski Shop, but they had already reached out to the ATOMIC rep and got the necessary part. When I offered to pay for the effort and the part, they graciously declined, inviting us to visit the shop instead.
This experience has given me a firsthand understanding of why this shop is held in such high esteem. I wholeheartedly recommend Peak Performance Ski Shop to both racers and recreational skiers alike.

Great place to rent skis. Very friendly and knowledgeable people. Convenient location, on the way to the ski resort, only five minutes away. Make sure to make your reservation online, you’ll pick up your rental quicker

Patient and knowledgable staff. I came in looking to buy my first pair of race skis in a long time and had so many questions, many of which were probably pretty dumb. Walked out with a setup I'm psyched on.

Great customer service, and great selection!
Over the last few seasons I have been demo'ing skis at different ski areas in the East, West, and Canada. I always call around a few demo shops to ask about their inventory a few days in advance. My agenda on these calls is never to do price comparison or even make a decision on ski, rather I am looking for a rep who I can have a reasonable discussion with. More often than not I am met with a surly, patronizing response that ends with 'just come in, we will have something for you.' Peak performance was far and above the easiest and most helpful rep to talk to over phone compared to the 4-5 other demo shops I called prior to arriving in Killington. Still when I arrived, the service exceeded my expectations, and they were thoughtful in providing the best options/alternatives based on my preferences length, underfoot, brand, play. Chris was extremely helpful over the few days I came through, and I ended up walking out with a new set of Nordica Unleashed as I could credit for the 2 days of demo rentals, and felt compelled since I was overall happy with their service--they also threw in the labor for binding mount! Highly recommend them for your rental and gear at Killington! And happy to see they are family owned!

Excellent experience buying new skis and bindings from Peak Performance. Chris had me demo several pairs of skis first, and took time after each one to talk in depth about what I liked and disliked about each ski. After trying and discussing multiple options, I felt much more comfortable making an informed purchase. I've been skiing my whole life, and these new skis are by far the best I've ever had!
10/10 would recommend Peak if you're in the Killington area and need any ski gear.

Went to the place next door to get fitted for new boots since they were part of Ski Essentials, but they were too busy to help. Luckily I came to Peak Performance and met Andrew and crew who were personable, attentive, and spent a significant amount of time to get me in the right boots. Great experiences like that make you find your go-to shop for everything else needed. Shop with confidence!
