We ate dinner here and the food was delicious. If you are in the area this is great place to dine. Friendly service, you could order drinks/alcoholic beverages/cocktails and wine. They use local ingredients. The local wine was not good however. It was very strong and vinegary. For dinner we had the fish of the day and short rib. The salad was a little on the small side but it was tasty. For dessert, we had white coconut run cake and caramel ginger cheesecake. I forgot take a photo before we dug right in. Both were so so good. I would recommend if available.

I recently stayed there with my family on our ski trip and we were very well taken care of here. It is old fashioned Inn, in a cute way, with a very welcoming atmosphere. The first thing I noticed was the wonderful smell of pine trees that filled the space. Our stay was very pleasant and we will definitely be coming back.

We had another wonderful experience staying at the Echo Lake Inn. It is filled with the charm of a small old New England Inn and has wonderful warm and welcoming staff, who are very accommodating to your needs. The location is perfect for activities during all the seasons, though we tend to go there in the Fall for leaf peeping and in the Winter for snowmobiling and Skiing. There is an outdoor pool on the property and a lake right next door for those traveling during the warmer months.I absolutely love that there is a large and inviting sitting area and bar room on the main floor right next to their restaurant, as well as a game room downstairs with a pool table and darts amongst other games. I also love that a wonderful breakfast each morning is included with your stay in their restaurant and the dinner in there is fabulous. The chefs do amazing work, the French onion soup, the Angus ribeye steak with delicious potatoes and vegetables and the cheesecake were amongst the best I have ever had. The service at the restaurant was great and our Cosmo and Chocolate martinis were excellent. We will definitely be back!

I just can't say enough great things about this place. I have stayed 2 years in a row. Once was with friends in one of the condo suites and one in a king suite. The rooms were all extremely clean. The staff and especially Tom the owner are extremely nice and go out of their way for hospitality. Truly gives you the small town feeling. The food is always done well and prices are very reasonable. The drive to Okemo is under 10 mins. If you haven't considered this place for your next ski trip, you are missing out. Thanks for everything!

Perfect little in for a ski weekend! Really enjoyed ourselves this weekend. The inn is a classic New England escape, filled with charm and warmth We were in room with a jacuzzi and I often am a little skeptical of those kinds of tubs but it was squeaky clean. The cherry on top that made me write a review was the food. We had an incredible meal - French onion soup and the duck were stand outs! The staff was so attentive and friendly. Smaller inns can be harder to staff and it’s clear that this is a well oiled machine! Stay here!

I stayed at the historic Echo Lake Inn for a long weekend to attend a celebration of life that was held in a large tent just behind the Inn. The food, atmosphere and service were superb, and the event could not have been more perfect! Family and friends had travelled from all around the country for the event and we all stayed at the Inn. It was so nice to spend quality time with friends in this special place. The Echo Lake Inn is a great place to shift into low gear, and unwind. With comfortable rooms, a quiet atmosphere, and beautiful nature all around, it is very peaceful, yet there are plenty of activities to enjoy, like darts, billiards, board games, a swimming pool, and a jacuzzi. They have Wifi (if you want to stay connected) or you just could curl up with a book in the living room or in a rocking chair on the porch. I really enjoyed taking in the view of the lake during a walk in nature and then sitting beside a nearby stream. With the great folks working there, you will feel at home and so comfortable at this lakeside retreat. I highly recommend the Echo Lake Inn!

My husband and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Echo Lake Inn. Echo Lake Inn was hosting a Murder Mystery Weekend which was an absolute blast! The food at the ELI restaurant is exquisite. 5 stars all the way, as is the courtesy and efficiency of the waitstaff, and the hospitality of the owner, Tom. We highly recommend a stay.

We were privilege to attend the first Mystery Weekend not only at Echo Lake Inn, but also the state of Vermont. When you walk through the doors you feel the old time charm with a super friendly staff. The food was nothing less than magnificent. The hors d'oeuvres they serve were to die for and super clean. The mystery was good trying to figure out who committed the murders. The best of all personally is I left my Kindle reader on the bed and misplaced a diamond and ruby earring. The hotel notified us they had the Kindle and they searched for the earring and notified us when it was found. Excellent service and honesty.Noteworthy details: The fall colors were beautiful surrounding the hotel with a large front porch where many of us gathered.

We had our wedding here in May 2023 and it was amazing. We knew we wanted to have a venue with a lot of lodging (we had ~105 guests), an outdoor setting, and that included extras like catering. We loved that we had the inn for the whole weekend. We had a welcome dinner on the front lawn Friday night, our ceremony Saturday in the dell followed by the reception in the tent and an after party both nights in the inn's downstairs tavern. The food was great. Tom the innkeeper/wedding coordinator was great to work with, he knew his stuff and helped us a lot.

Not even a thousand year flood event less than a month prior to our wedding could derail Tom and his amazing staff from providing an unforgettable experience for all of our guests (and us!). They worked with us almost daily on making sure everything went perfectly smooth, re-arranging accommodations, and working round-the-clock to make everything about the weekend was taken care of and all we had to do was show up and smile!Highly recommend for an event, lodging, or dinner.

Tom and the Staff were so accommodating and helpful, we enjoy our stay very much. The food was amazing and took advantage of the breakfast daily and dinner twice. We hit the hot tub every afternoon, so nice to unwind after hitting the trails all day. We will be back for sure.

Echo Lake Inn is a very nice historical and inn from the 1850's.With this one gets plusses and minuses.Plusses being that it's an antique building Minuses being that it's an antique building. The inn has a very nice vibe with the antique building, wide floor boards, etc.Tom, the owner/innkeeper, is charming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here 2x this winter. It's a great location to ski at Okemo (and Killington). The included breakfast is cooked to your order and delicious. Dinner is available. A gourmet dinner package extra is available for your stay. We ate there both nights, and we were very pleased with the dinners. There is a lovely barroom with a well stocked bar.The dining room is lovely with wide floor boards and exposed wooden beams in the ceiling. There is a game room downstairs with a pool table, darts, a Foose ball table, and is another space to hang out. (We checked it out...if we had more time to hang out, it was there.)There is a hot tub that we used on the first stay. Great. The 2nd floor bedroom with a king bed was very nice and comfortable on our first stay. The 3rd floor bedroom was nice yet dated. The bathroom shower did not deliver the desired hot water shower. The water temp was tepid. The room is on the front of the building, and we would have liked a dark out shade to darken the room from the entrance light. Tom offered to let us move to another room to get a hotter shower, yet we were already settled, so declined. He did offer. Our trip involved: eat breakfast, ski, eat dinner, sleep...repeat. yes. Some relaxing in there, too.Going to dinner in slippers is a luxuious treat.I recommend Echo Lake Inn. It's a great value for the money.Nearby activities: Close to Okemo and Killington.
