I had the overcooked Wagyu meatloaf... not great. Overcooked but it was Christmas eve so there was no way I could get a re-fire

Stopped in for lunch on a rainy Tuesday. Staff was super friendly and very attentive. Great atmosphere and food. Would recommend.

A month or so after being there for lunch and looking at my charge statement referencing iti said to my husband- wasn’t the equinox mediocre? He said “horrible”. Incredibly disappointing and not worth going to.I had heard of the equinox for years.Unwelcoming hostesses. Carpeted dining room. Asked for a piece of bread to go with a salad and got a hamburger bun.Really poor lunch. It is an old hotel in a downtown ( for vermont) setting. Not a charming- rather a shopping outlet ski town

It is a family tradition to visit the Marsh Tavern Veranda to celebrate my wife's birthday. This year it was equally enjoyable as past times. Sitting on the veranda in the summer with a view of the Vermont sky is always special. Our lunch selections were quite good. Service is fast and friendly.

Beautiful grounds! Really fun to see the grounds, and the exterior of this building. I know in my previous review I said the hotel is outdated, smelly and icky overall and I stand by that. The exterior and the grounds are chefs kiss!! So get a drink and hang outside. :-)

The dinner started off with rude staff the food did not make this evening any more pleasurable. VERY small portions that were not overly tasty for the price. The pasta was cold; dessert was old and sauce tasted like cough medicine. On top of this the wine tastes watered down? This place used to be one of my favorites in the summer now it's a never again.

Great food, but beware of being double charged. Also, there's a hidden 'historic preservation fee' they tack on to your bill without telling you. Also, my party was seated at 2 separate tables, but they still considered us a large party and tacked on a service fee without warning. Casual lunch became an incredibly expensive proposition.

This was one of our regular spots - we made the trek over the mountain a couple of times a year for lunch at the Marsh Tavern. Service was excellent, food was good and the overall atmosphere was very refined and comfortable. But something happened and the menu changed, and frankly, its just not as appealing as it used to be. It may have been the pandemic, or it may have been a new chef, or it may have been a management decision to reduce costs, but whatever it was, the Marsh Tavern has lost its appeal.

We had our Christmas dinner here, the only place that does not require reservation and available on Christmas night. Beautiful setting in the elegant Equinox hotel. I had my best burger here and the awesome Tiramisu!

VT has a pretty severe labor shortage. This restaurant (and many others) has limited hours and a reduced staff. It's probably not fair to judge anything in town under the current conditions. Don't expect The Marsh Tavern or the Equinox as it was during its heyday. I get the impression everyone is doing the best they can with what they've got.

Enjoyable visit & stay. Food was excellent. Our meal was made better by Val who had our order out quickly & each person’s meal was perfect. It was super crowded in this peak leaf season but his efficiency & politeness made the evening g go so well. Thanks for a job well done!

I am not sure where to start. No one was smiling who worked at the restaurant the entire night. Everyone had pained expressions. Once we ordered our drinks and placed our food order, we had to wait quite some time before our mussel appetizer arrived, which was barely heated and just so-so in terms of flavor. With our table covered in mussel dishes, our caesar salads were brought out and the server did not offer to remove the mussel dishes; we had to ask him. He seemed bothered that we had made that request and he did not come back to remove the last remaining dish. Not once during our meal did our initial waiter come to the table to inquire at to whether we needed anything or how the meal was. We watched him attend to other tables, but no effort was shown to us. This was reflected in our tip. In summary, food was ho hum and the service was lackluster. We will not be back.
