In April of 2023 we brought our Cat in for her rabies shot. Previously she was in for her annual checkup and no issues were found. Within 45 minutes after the vaccine the Cat died in the car while rushing back to the clinic. One of the most traumatic days in our lifes. I haven't posted this review in a more timely manner as there aren't many vets to chose from in the area. Now that Ive moved I can share this. My advice is to wait before going home if your pet experiences any issues

I was recommended to take my rabbit to this establishment and got him checked out to get neutered and I had a feeling I didn't want to go through with it yet so I didn't and I'm glad I made that choice. My other rabbit has an ear infection and I was looking to get him treated. One of the "doctors" said they don't know much about rabbits and "if they're too bad I just put them down" How in the world can you have judgement on their wellbeing if you don't know much to start. Your answer then is to just put someone's beloved pet down. I will NEVER bring an animal here again. Very disappointed.

I recently visited this office and was charged $150 for an office visit. When I called to discuss it, I was informed that I hadn't been there in 2 years and that I was not a regular client ( although I had been there twice in the past,) I was never informed of this up charge and when I spoke to the manager and she said she would discuss it with the team and return my call. She never did and I proceeded to call two more times and she never called me back. This policy takes advantage of people and I am certainly am happy with the customer service that I received

I implore you to consider any alternative veterinary clinic in the surrounding area, steering clear of this one. My personal experience with this establishment has revealed a disconcerting lack of professionalism and empathy from the owner, who, in my opinion, should not be entrusted with the care of our beloved family pets. Regrettably, this vet has demonstrated incompetence that extends beyond my own experience. The absence of compassion when dealing with the lives of our pets is alarming. While there may be satisfied clients, my opinion, coupled with numerous accounts from others, leads me to believe that this establishment should be reevaluated by the VT Board. I urge you to heed the warning signs - not just from my review but from the plethora of reviews that predate my own. Choosing this clinic may result in consequences that you, like many others, will deeply regret. The life and well-being of your cherished animal companion deserve the utmost care and consideration, and I genuinely believe you'll find better alternatives in the nearby area.

I searched for a vet who I was hoping more holistic in their views and also was certified as an animal chiropractor. My dog was a very healthy active golden retriever who now is so injured, lame, and limping. He is a larger dog and Dr. Treat suggested he get a hip x-ray. His team took the dog in and when he came out he was so upset and injured. He clearly was hurt by restraining for an x-ray fhat he didn't even need, or by incompetent chiropractic care. Dr Treat didn't even stay for the exam / visit, and left the office for the day on a Friday afternoon and said he would call me with results of the xray. I drive my dog home who is now in so much pain, and called their office 5 times over the course of the week, and finally got a call back the following Friday. He had no compassion how they hurt and injured him and said I should go put him on kinds of anti inflammatories and invasive procedures that I would pay more for. I am so upset and have to bring my dog to a rehab place now and hope he isn't injured so bad for life. Please don't trust your animal to these people. Also, this is the first yelp review I have ever left. But you need to know.

After I begged for a call back three times for a "check-in" post my 7 month old puppy's lumpectomy your surgical nurse told me Dr Bushee and herself were 90 percent sure it was not cancer prior to surgery.UM WHAT! COME AGAIN PLEASE!? Why was I not told this prior to major exploratory surgery on my puppy! Why did you cut it out- why not tell me those statistics before booking surgery or say leave it or tell me to go elsewhere if you don't have the equipment to cryo freeze it off! I went in one day and surgery was available the next! I was told you saw lots of cells - histiocytes which are almost always benign and normal in young dogs as they grow! Why didn't you send the fluid out to be cultured instead of butchering my puppy's skull! How about some simple blood work prior to cutting her open! Stay far away from this clinic of Dr Kovorkians! They should have their medical license revoked! You told me it would be a 2 mm incision ...my puppy came home with a 7 mm incision and in pain! If it's not cancer why do this! Are you scalping for cancer or are you scalping for cash? Despite the fact I was honest telling you I was just caught in lay-offs at my tech company you subject my family and my dog to this unnecessary financial burden. I found out from a prior vet who worked at this practice that vets are compensated on a salary plus commission basis! Commission in medical care is extremely unethical. The website lists the vet's interests as "curative surgery" well you should perform it on patients who require it! My puppy should never have been used as your cadaver to practice your scalpel skills which by the way need major improvement! I took this up with the owner of the facility Dr Treat and he could not care less. This place wants to make money and will butcher your animals unnecessarily to line their pockets. AVOID GREEN MOUNTAIN VETERINARY HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS. Sincerely, The puppy's mother who you will NEVER forget

We called many local Vets for an emergency issue we had with our 4 month old puppy. Thank you Dr Treat for seeing us on short notice on a holiday weekend!

I have had three separate experiences with this Veterinary Hospital and not one was positive. On our first visit as a new patient, we were seen two hours late after our scheduled appointment. There was no communication from Reception until we called to inquire what the hold up was? The second time we were awaiting a call back regarding lab results. Again, we had to follow up with them after 5 days of waiting to hear about the test results. We were told we would be notified regardless if the results were good or bad. Our dog did in fact need medication, which we wouldn't have known unless proactively calling back. Our third interaction resulted in Green Mountain Veterinary Hospital turning us away with an emergency visit. They said they exceeded their limit of 'emergency appointments for the day and had other scheduled visits to attend to. I would not, nor will not entrust this establishment with the care of my animal again.

Very professional and caring and punctual. We had our little puppy spayed, and all went well.

My parents live in Manchester and, when I was visiting them from out-of-town this past weekend, unfortunately my dog Josie passed away during my visit. We called Green Mountain hoping to find a veterinary practice that could sensitively dispose of her body (rather than driving the 3 1/2 hours back to my home with her in the car). They responded that they were no longer taking new customers. Really? No longer taking new customers? We weren't asking to become repeat customers. We just wanted my beloved pet's body disposed of in a respectful fashion. This insensitive response was unconscionable. If you have a choice, find another Vet's office.

If I could leave 0 stars I would ... took our puppy to get his 2nd round of boosters for parvo and specifically asked not to administer anything else as he is a Wirehaired vizsla and these guys are very sensitive and need to have their vaccinations spread out ... 30 min later he comes out with his parvo + RABIES and LYME vaccinations ... I think its a total disgrace that shots would be administered without the owners consent. No apology, nothing ... Definitely would never be coming back and would tell everyone to be aware of this place.

The Vet staff at this facility are top notch!!! I have had a cat and a puppy who each had to have emergency surgery for 2 unrelated things. The staff was so kind! Dr Treat took the time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. They called to check on the animals health between visits. My animals are both healthy, happy and thriving! I wouldn't use a different Veterinary office for anything. They are so great and caring! Thank you Green Mtn Veterinary for saving my babies!

Kind people work here -- from Dr. Treat to the woman at the desk. They take care of our dog and our bird with gentleness. Thank you!
