Sad to be leaving the Vermont Inn today. We have had a very quiet and comfortable stay. It was off season for the surrounding community, so a great time for us as traffic was light and the restaurants were slow. Our hosts have been wonderful and very responsive to our requests. Thank you for being a very memorable part of our vacation plans! Great breakfast!
Rooms: Our family guest room had vintage furnishings. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clean and the beds were comfy.

Traveled up from Connecticut and booked the Windham room. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very welcoming staff. The room and amenities were great. Anytime staff was encountered, it was friendly and with a smile. Location is great being a midpoint between Killington and Rutland. Make sure to book though the inn and get a fantastic breakfast included.

Me and my husband stayed here because we won a bid at a gala for a 2 night stay here. We flew in from the west coast and made a trip out of it and toured VT and some of Boston. After spending a couple days in Boston, the quiet stay at Vermont Inn was exactly what we needed. The room was a great size for the two of us and we were able to see more of the east coast that we had never seen before. The hosts were so helpful and kind. We didn't do much around the Inn so I can't say much about what to do in the area. We did drive highway 100 which was suggested to us and that was a lovely drive for a Saturday. It seems of you're looking to be in the country and want some space, this is a great fit. You do have to drive at least 10 min to find somewhere to eat for dinner.
Our bed was comfortable and breakfast was fantastic!
Rooms: The suite we were in was the Windham Suite. Great size for the two of us and it had a tub AND a shower. So nice. The bed was comfortable. The room could have been darker if there were black out curtains.
Noteworthy details: Highway 100 is close to do a drive. The breakfast was made by the hosts and so good. They were also so helpful with suggestions on what to do for a day.
It is in the country so do plan to drive to eat for lunch/dinner and do activities. It is close to a ski resort so for anyone who skis it's a great location.

Had a fabulous weekend. My husband and I loved our room and we had our four legged daughter with us and they treated her like a human guest. Above and beyond. Highly recommend to all to go and stay there.
Rooms: Our room was so romantic. The White Birches.

This place is great! My wife and I booked our trip here to join the thousands of people who watched the eclipse. Our dog sitter bailed last minute, and I called to verify that my dog could stay with us for our two day duration, and they were able to make accommodations pretty quickly!
The proprietors, a husband and wife, were lovely folks to chat with. They inquired about our breakfast preference and, when we told them we were leaving early in the morning, had everything packed and waiting for us at the check-in counter: Two bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, a bunch of fruit, and a few Clif bars, to get us through the morning and afternoon. How thoughtful!
The building is old, so a little creaky (which would occasionally set off my little corgi's danger radar), but it's got a ton of charm. The price was also pretty reasonable. Highly recommend, and will definitely make another visit in the future. Thank you folks!

My husband and I stayed here with some family for a weekend ski trip to Pico Mountain. An approx. five-minute drive to the mountain and ten-minute drive to Killington restaurants made this place so convenient for our vacation. Macayla and Josh were very accommodating and laid back. Our room was comfortable and the perfect size for our crew, even if the furniture and bathroom were somewhat dated. The breakfasts were delicious, came out quickly once we sat. The sauna was a welcome addition after a cold day hitting the slopes! As was the fridge to store our food. Would definitely stay here again for our next winter ski trip.

Beautiful inn with extremely friendly staff. Our suite was absolutely gorgeous and the amenities were top notch. The location was awesome as we went to Killington a couple of days and the drive was barely 15 minutes. My fiancé and I will absolutely be returning to this inn next time we go to Killington.Nearby activities: Less than 15 minutes to Killington and Rutland
