The Shaw’s in Middlebury, Vermont is a great neighborhood supermarket. It’s a decent-sized, well-lit, well-stocked, store and the staff are very helpful.

If you take the time & effort to buy what's on sale & use the digital coupons, you can afford to shop here and eat. Otherwise, be rich. That said, it's a fair-sized market that offers a lot of options. Con: Time to update the restroom; yuck. Pro: The cashiers, Sam and Leonard -- personable and professional.

After 8pm there are no registers open. It is only self checkout. Learned that the hard way with a full cart.
