I rented a 46' lift for the day. A couple hours into the day, the lift broke down and was down for approximately three hours until a tech came out and told the contractors that there was a loose wire. I called MR and told them this, and his response was that the contractors "must have done something." Because of the lift being down, the contractors had to do much of the work on ladders instead. With delivery costs, the lift rental cost me $696.95 for the day, of which the contractors were only able to use it for about three hours. The owner/mgr of MR said he "couldn't really" give me a partial refund and that "unfortunately these things happen sometimes."He gave me a $30 refund. Not pleased at all and I do not recommend them for rental services.

Just over a year ago I have purchased a Husqvarna 562XP chainsaw as per recommendation from Doug with the extended warranty . Doug has always been great to deal with to the point that I have purchased other equipment from him. I have always strived to buy from a locally owned store to support the community. The saw worked great for over a year until a few weeks ago it stopped running. So I took it back to Doug and asked him to have it looked at. A few short days later, I got a call from Milton Rental and Sales stating that Husqvarna has declined fixing the scratched piston under warranty because apparently I have used inferior fuel in the saw. Ever since I have purchased the saw, I have followed Doug’s instructions and only used Premium Non-Ethanol fuel with a mixture of 50:1 with oil. Having spoken to Husqvarna themselves, they told me that the service technician at Milton Rental had determined that the fuel was bad and therefore they wouldn’t cover it under warranty. My issue with this is that the technician at Milton Rental has not done any tests to the fuel to determine that it was bad. They have saved the remaining fuel that was in the saw and returned it to me. So I purchased a test kit to test the fuel and the fuel was of good quality according to the test. It is a disgrace for a technician to make a determination blaming the fuel without being able to back up their findings. It is correct that if they would have performed the repair under warranty, they would not have been able to charge Husqvarna as much as what they have quoted me for the repair which was close to $500 on a $800 saw. It is quite convenient to blame the damage on the fuel with the possibility that I would just tell them to fix the saw and pay for it myself at a much higher profit margin. It’s a shame that this situation has turned out like this as I would have never expected this kind of treatment by a local business.Across the counter one of the staff said that it was “tough luck” when I went to pick up the saw and expressed my frustration with the situation. This is a disgrace!!!

Brought a pump in needing a new shaft seal. After having the pump for 4+ months they said they couldn’t fix it and charged me $1300 for “all their labor” When we picked the pump up it was in pieces! Literally everything taken apart. They also put a new fuel water separator on. Which I never asked for at the low price of 230$ I could understand charging for parts that were relevant to the issue I asked them to fix. But they did 100’s of dollars or “repairs” that I didn’t ask for and didn’t fix what I brought it in for!

Solid local cub cadet dealer. They do good work here and have a pretty big inventory to choose from as well.

In our experience, very good at selling, but very poor at standing behind their equipment. We purchased a Cub Cadet mower and had problems with the belt breaking from the first days and they would not take the lemon back. Not only that - through the years of trying to keep the (riding) mower running we have gone through over a dozen belts and repairs to the mower that we originally paid $3500.00 for. Milton Rental did not offer to compensate us for one belt or repair. We reached a point of absurdity recently when they did service on the mower (0ver $800) and then the belt broke within 20 minutes of use. When we asked them to take it back and repair it they now want $350 to get the mower back to us. We have asked to speak with someone at the company who could consider our situation and spoke to Todd - who was professional and polite - but never did anything to help solve the problem. We have been very disappointed with Milton Rental and Sales so many times. We do not recommend them.

Not even impressed a little bit. I had contracted a machine from Saturday too Monday for a day and a half rate. When it was delivered, I asked how strict they were about about time because I had one fuel can to refuel it with and needed to clean up the machine before retiring it. I was told, no problem, they will check your hours and give you the cheapest hourly rate. I ended up needing the machine another day and called Tuesday at 7:30am to tell them I needed to clean up and refuel the machine but had a dr appointment that morning so wouldn't have it ready until 2, but ended up changing that appointment to just get it ready. Not once did they explain they had to be called back by 9 to only be charged for that day. I called at 11 after running back and forth to the store for 2 hours to refuel the machine and after cleaning it (when it was NOT clean when delivered)to be charged for 3 and 1/2 days. I only ran the machine for 11 hours. I live on disability and cannot afford to be taken advantage of by companies like this. I hope you check your options before you do as well.

Maybe good for purchasing a new mower, but do not stand behind their products once sold. We purchased a Cub Cadet mower that had a problem with belts breaking constantly - we wanted to return it but they would not accept it back. We had belts replaced and other service and always paid top dollar over the last 5 years - a money pit. We just had a $750.00+ repair and then the belt broke again in 20 minutes of use... now they want to charge $350.00 to get the mower back. They have never offered to cover a single belt or repair.
