Before the flood this store was a solid 5⭐️, but now it’s a shell of its former self. Now it’s all corporate (Ace) and their selection is nowhere near as good as it what it once was.
I’m happy they kept the former staff and the cats, but we rarely go now. It’s such a disappointment.

I needed a ratchet set. Jason led me right to them, and the set I wanted was even on sale. Folks were friendly, and the cat is a lovey greeter.

We had been looking for an exterior door for a while but live quite a distance from the store in our state. Melinda and associates were great in regards to helping us with options, details and great customer service.

They advertise in the store window that they repair screens. I dropped off my sliding screen door on the 2nd and was told at drop off it would take 2 - 3 weeks to be complete. I called on the 29th. It had not been touched. I was told on the 29th that they have only one person who does the repairs, that that person is the manager and has very little time to do screen repairs. Strongly recommend you do not take screens to Montpelier Aubuchon for repair.

Nice layout, well stocked. Shirley Gomez was incredibly friendly, quite knowledgeable and very helpful. She went out of her way to help solve an issue with an online purchase and to make sure I found everything I was looking for in the store. She's a real gem!

I was in the middle of power washing my deck when water gushed out at a connection. Found that a rubber o ring broke.
Went to Aubuchon here in Montpelier hoplng they might help. BRIAN was awesome in all ways. He was polite, knowledgeable and solved my problems.
I have been a customer at this store since Gary was manager. Brian is holding up the service I came to expect here.

One the most convenient shopping experiences I’ve ever had. I placed the order online, and it was ready in minutes. At pickup everything was ready to go, in and out in a flash. This level of efficiency makes a huge difference on a busy day.

Easy to return things and to find what you need. And if you can’t, the staff knows the store inside and out.

Outstanding service! I stopped by just a few minutes before closing, fully expecting to be turned away, but the gentleman working welcomed me in with a smile and helped me find exactly what I needed. In a time when so many places rush to close and customer service feels like an afterthought, this capital city gem truly stands out. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to their community. I would give 10 stars if I could!

Aubuchon’s is our great local hardware store! Today, the salesperson helped me find landscape pins, and also assisted with finding the correct size package. The staff is fantastic and always ready to help with anything you come in for.
