I walked in as a new customer and was immediately greeted with a rude attitude… I placed approximately 5 items on the counter (out of the 10 I brought) for basic cleaning and was told it was going to be over $160? Ludicrous pricing. I was also told they weren’t going to be able to do basic things like clean up a stain that I myself had basically gotten most of off at home with no cleaning experience… I politely said I’d go elsewhere and politely thanked the person for their time, and out of nowhere they said “Yeah we can charge whatever we want because we have no competition”. I was stunned.
I then went to a Cleaner in the next town over and not only did they do all 10 of my items for cheaper than this place quoted for only 5, but they got out all stains and were incredibly friendly too!
I would highly recommend going elsewhere.
*Update* Instead of responding gracefully, the owner decided to call my review “fake” cause I used an anonymous name. News flash; Montpelier is a small town where anonymity is nearly impossible, so I use a fake name to describe REAL experiences. I can give the exact date and time of this interaction if you’d like to share your front camera footage so you can see this interaction go down exactly as I described.
Pathetic response !

My suits always come back as expected and well pressed. Lady is nice, and responsive on the phone. Wish there were options to reduce all the plastic and hanger waste, and a bit on the higher price end, but perhaps this is the nature of dry cleaning. I do think you can return the hangers.

I dropped off two military dress uniforms. I received both uniforms back with an extensive amount of damage to the sleeve stitching. Go elsewhere if you don't want your items to get jacked up.

I needed to clean an jacket with very expensive real pearl buttons. I called ahead to make sure that they were safe to clean. I was told that they would be fine. When I got my jacket back it wasn't particularly nicely pressed, and almost all of the buttons were either badly chipped or broken. I called the next day, and was told that I'd need to speak to the manager. It took two more days to get in touch with her. I was told that I should have left a message. (I told her that she should have trained her staff.) She offered to have her seamstress replace the buttons, but was unable to guarantee that the replacement buttons would be the same quality as the broken buttons. I told her that I'd already ordered replacement buttons from an upscale tailoring company and asked that they reimburse me for them. All she "was able to do" was to put a credit on my account for the price of the cleaning. She didn't even have the courtesy to put the refund on my credit card. (After nearly destroying my jacket she expects me to use her service again? Maybe for a basic shirt because I have a credit.) I ended up paying a fair bit of money to fix their mistake and was treated as if their mistake was my fault. She even laughed about the next time I have my jacket cleaned I'll need to remove the buttons. Witch, I don't think your rudeness or incompetence is funny at all.
Any decent cleaner will know if any buttons or trims can't be cleaned and will remove them for you, and reattach them after the item is cleaned. If a reputable cleaner makes a mistake they'll own up to it and do whatever it takes to fix the article of clothing so that it's like new. At the prices they charge that's about the level of service they should be providing. This business is garbage.
(This cleaner has terrible reviews on Yelp. I assume the five star review written here was written by an employee. I wouldn't put it past this business to post fake reviews.)
