Best fruits and vegetables, so fresh and a great selection! They have the basics for everything and then some more. One stop shopping, quick lunch, snacks - salty and sweet, weekly grocery shopping. Wonderful bulk selection, frozen foods, fresh foods, packaged too. Large selection of local producers. My daughter loves the freshly baked salmon with chili sauce and sesame noodles and it is a weekly purchase. My husband's favorite is Red Hen's Seeded Baguette. I always pick up a Red Door Bakery Date Bar for a grocery shopping job well done!

This is as good as Trader Joe’s and has a cafe on a river. However, they do not carry Cape Cod Potato Chips, Bridge seitan, Vermont Common Crackers and I think they should. Also, I’ve noticed a problem with them keeping Cold Hollow Cider on their shelves, which is a Vermont staple. However, it is a beautiful store and worth the visit.

I shop here regularly, some items are a bit overpriced but it's a convenient place to get local items and organic foods. However I have to say their hot food bar is AMAZING. The menu rotates regularly and the food is always so good and is priced by weight. It would be worth stopping here just for the hot bar. You can eat it there in the dining area that overlooks the river or take it home.

They pretend to have WIC items, then when you get to the register they say it isn’t coming off and try to make you pay full price. They also are constantly out of basic necessities like bread and yogurt. The staff looks miserable. Horrible overpriced and dishonest store.

My favorite VT coop. I drive an hour one way, weekly, to shop at this coop. They have a very large produce section with the best local selection. Large bulk selection with a ton of organic options. The store is well laid out and I enjoy picking up a hot lunch before finishing with shopping. Staff are always helpful and very knowledgeable. You don’t have to be a member to shop, but the membership perks are a big plus. For the home chefs who appreciate wholesome meals from scratch this store never disappoints!

I always thought the co-op was out of my budget, but at the beginning of 2024, I really wanted to change how I was spending my money and how I was supporting the local economy. It was then that I decided I would only purchase my groceries from Hunger Mountain. Much to my surprise, I found that I was spending substantially less (approx. $500 less per month for a family of four). This is likely due to a variety of factors including being more mindful of what I’m purchasing and how much I’m purchasing (also minimizing food waste), as well as consuming less meat. I feel so much better about my consumption habits and know that i am providing food that is of a higher quality and healthier for my family, as well as supporting the local farmers and economy. In addition, I don’t feel overstimulated like I did while shopping at major grocery chains in the past and all of the employees are warm and friendly. If they can’t help answer a question you have they will help you find someone that can. It’s a win-win, all around.

I give it this because it’s neat and all but not the best in VT I feel. A bit pricey so beware. Staff seemed friendly and helpful.

This is my regular grocery store -- it's always been clean, the options are occasionally limited but they do focus on quality and local products which helps me feel comfortable buying without checking labels constantly

Great co-op, they have great soups and sandwiches. Stock great products particularly the health products. Very community minded as well.
