“My router died during a power outage, so it was time to ask consolidated for a replacement. I called on May 3rd and was assured that a tech would come to replace the unit on the 8th, if not sooner. Having dealt with consolidated for a few years, I was pretty skeptical of this time frame. Usually I would have to pester them a week later to get on the schedule.Not this time! It's Monday morning on the 6th, and the tech Andy did a great job. He arrived at ~09:50, politely answered my questions, set to work and had the swap done before 10:10. Bravo.I learned two things about the company from our brief conversation:-Their phone answering service has been contracted out to a firm overseas, explaining the indian accent of the agent. I had a pretty short hold time though, so I guess that explains it.-They're expanding the fiber service they call "fidium" in this area. I'm stuck with DSL for the time being, but fiber is out there.Between the very short hold time on the phone, the one-business-day service time frame, and the personable/speedy fix, consolidated is turning around their reputation. I'm surprised and pleased, so I thought I'd share.”
