The worst experience I’ve had with a mechanic. I had a problem with my transmission lines. They replaced them, but didn’t do it properly and within two weeks I had the same problem. I went back, had it fixed again. Two weeks later, the same problem. I took it elsewhere and they fixed it. Sunaco simply didn’t attach it properly and missed the o ring. Mechanical 101 you would think. (not to mention they left a rag and a lid of some description under the hood. I don’t like the idea of a combustible oily rag next to a hot engine).
All while this happened, my transmission is ruined because all of the fluid leaked out. This will cost me thousands.
The kicker, when I complained, Ryan wouldn’t return my money and simply said “not my fault”. I asked for the boss and I called Paul and he ghosted me.
Don’t go here. They are incompetent mechanics and dishonest. I made a $600 donation essentially :( and on top of that I will have to spend thousands to cover the fact they couldn’t handle an o ring

They gave me a quote over the phone for a few items needed to pass inspection. The price for brakes and rotors seems high, and it turned out to be hundreds more than the Subaru dealerships in the area. I told them I'd pass on getting that work done and then they tried to charge for $52.50 for a lightbulb!!!
I didn't authorize that and know how to change a bulb myself. For context on their pricing, they were charging $20 just to put it in!
I had them take it out, then they charged me $45 for a pre-inspection. Apparently they waived the inspection fee if I was paying for the bulb (which would've come out to 7.50, so a great deal), but instead I left without a bulb and paid $45 for a waste of time. I honestly don't even know if the bulb was burned out! My car usually tells me stuff like that so I'm guessing not!
Unclear communication.

This is a really convenient location, full-service, and more importantly can get you in on the spot for basic services such as a tire changeout, which took about 20-30 minutes, depending on their schedule -- just call and ask. I work in the capital complex and have left my car there and they were done in a few hours for an oil change a tricky repair that they easily remedied for an extra $10 for a completely rusted out battery terminal. Know that this is a mechanics shop, so as we all know they spend the money in the shop so you can't really stay for hours. Anyway, always friendly, skilled and fair in cost.

The staff at Bobs Sunoco deliver excellent service and are hero accommodating. They have fit me when I need auto work. Recently they took care of a problem with my truck that would have cost me a heck of a lot more at the dealer Super nice and friendly folks. I trust them to take care of my vehicles.

Going somewhere else saved me $650.
Bob's Sunoco said I failed my inspection, needed to replace a part which would total $650 in parts and labor. Sunoco charged me $45 just to fail the inspection. I went somewhere else that said the rust wasn't as bad as Sunoco said and I would have passed the inspection. They weren't authorized to inspect a car with out-of-state plates. Sunoco charged me $45 to fail a car they weren't even authorized to inspect. The other place looked at it all for FREE. Sunoco would have stolen a whole paycheck from me if I didn't have the sense to get a 2nd opinion.

I came in on my way home to Burlington with a broken break line. They somehow squeezed me in and got me back in the road in record speed at an extremely reasonable price. They also advised me on all the issues my mechanic had just missed in inspection so I could get it looked at again. I wish I lived in Montpelier because this would be my go-to service station.

The owner is a hack, he is a blatant a-hole to his customers, and cannot even change tires without checking the air pressure and not scraping up my wheels.... Why in God's name the VSP and/our Sheriff's dept. have a contract with this place is beyond me!! ?♂️
