I recently wrote a complaint about the abusive treatment I was subjected to by my postman. This morning, I was pleasantly surprised when an official, newly appointed to this position, knocked on my door and apologized for this uncalled for treatment. Whereas the mailman represented the post office in a negative light, the official who spoke with me lent credibility as he personally spoke to this disrespectful employee. I wish I had asked the name of this official as I want his supervisor to be apprised of what an asset he is to the post office; and hope he is being compensated commiserate with his compassion and professionalism. Additionally, I want this sincere comment placed in his evaluation folder so the above deserving salary is addressed, and to ensure this comment is verbalized to him. Thanking you in advance.... Lynda O'Grady 802-223-3184 Please feel free to call me to ensure this man is adequately praised.

For a scant 58 cents the US post office will pick up a letter, at your house, put it on an airplane, bring it all the way across the country and hand deliver it to wherever you want, in all kinds of weather. These kings and queens continue to do this, in the best possible spirits, considering the circumstances, in SPITE of postmaster DeJoy doing his best to destroy this miracle we all take for granted. The post office is the bomb. (Do not mail bombs - that's illegal - along with a bunch of other dangerous stuff) The Montpelier Post Office is especially the bomb. Sometimes snafus happen, with residency, mail forwarding, COVID, aging parents, and immigration, all during the Xmas season, and the Montpelier PO handles that sh*t with aplomb (but not a bomb - don't forget)

I moved from California to Montpelier 5 months ago and have not had mailed delivered on a Monday and only once on a Saturday. 90% of the time my mail arrives between 7Pm - 8PM. Packages have sat in the post office for days. Tracking says waiting for delivery scan. Oh, I live less than a mile from the post office. RH

I had to review merely to disagree with the other reviewer. I have never had a bad experience at this post office. The employees are friendly and have useful information. The longest wait I have ever dealt with was 10 minutes, and that was during the Christmas rush. Because I sell vintage items online, I am there often. The worst part is sometimes I have to park down the block or across the street, instead of right in front.

This is one of those post offices where it's painful to go inside and attempt to interact with the people who work there. I wish they would get a machine so that I could avoid the unpleasantness of attempting to interact with the people who work there. As a consequence of the internal environment I take my postal business to another place. It can be inconvenient to do this but it's worth it. As much as I would like to not deal with these folks again...I am now forces to. The lady who delivered was fantastic. It seems she has retired. Now the Montpelier postal employees are really showing their incompetence. Apparently they are unable to find my home (it's been here over 100 years) and no longer regularly deliver my mail. And when I discussed this with them on the phone they found not delivering my mail acceptable. Eeesh! Have you ever heard of following through? Of GPS? I mean the solution here is pretty simple. That as an organization this is the best you can do, well quite honestly that's not good enough. High salaries should equate with a needed skillset. Please get yourself together!
