This is not the Montpelier Post Office! Google is incorrectly guiding to National Life Group. The nearest post office is in East Montpelier or Barre. Thanks Google. Please correct.

Montpelier post office it failing miserably at their job. Can't deliver on time. Can't answer the phone. Package good luck, daily mail if they feel like it. USPS should be disbanded and UPS should take over they can deliver on time and will answer questions when needed......USPS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

This office doesn't exist. There is no where to send certified mail in Montpelier. Do not go to National Life. They are not there. The phone system will make you crazy. My mail carrier is fantastic, but the USPS doesn't exist for mailing out packages and things.

This is "NOT" a post office drop off point! It is the processing center and will "NOT" take packages. I was instructed to drop off at the College of Fine Arts Building on College St. as they have a drop off center there. The Capitol City does "NOT" have a dedicated Post Office, which I think is very strange!

Worst service all around. Delivery when they feel like it, terrible service, zero phone service beyond a computer assistance for everything you can already do yourself. No one to answer questions. Packages hang out for days to weeks before being delivered locally. Takes weeks for mail to make it one town over.

This is a travesty. A package doesn't get delivered. I can't get anyone on the phone, even after waiting 25 minutes! They want money to redeliver to the correct address, which is the address on record and the one on the package. Horrible customer service.

They routinely claim: "Delivery attempted, but front door or driveway was not accessible." when they have not even attempted delivery. I think they're understaffed and rather than admitting it, they claim imaginary problems.

I recently wrote a complaint about the abusive treatment I was subjected to by my postman. This morning, I was pleasantly surprised when an official, newly appointed to this position, knocked on my door and apologized for this uncalled for treatment. Whereas the mailman represented the post office in a negative light, the official who spoke with me lent credibility as he personally spoke to this disrespectful employee. I wish I had asked the name of this official as I want his supervisor to be apprised of what an asset he is to the post office; and hope he is being compensated commiserate with his compassion and professionalism. Additionally, I want this sincere comment placed in his evaluation folder so the above deserving salary is addressed, and to ensure this comment is verbalized to him. Thanking you in advance.... Lynda O'Grady 802-223-3184 Please feel free to call me to ensure this man is adequately praised.

For a scant 58 cents the US post office will pick up a letter, at your house, put it on an airplane, bring it all the way across the country and hand deliver it to wherever you want, in all kinds of weather. These kings and queens continue to do this, in the best possible spirits, considering the circumstances, in SPITE of postmaster DeJoy doing his best to destroy this miracle we all take for granted. The post office is the bomb. (Do not mail bombs - that's illegal - along with a bunch of other dangerous stuff) The Montpelier Post Office is especially the bomb. Sometimes snafus happen, with residency, mail forwarding, COVID, aging parents, and immigration, all during the Xmas season, and the Montpelier PO handles that sh*t with aplomb (but not a bomb - don't forget)

I moved from California to Montpelier 5 months ago and have not had mailed delivered on a Monday and only once on a Saturday. 90% of the time my mail arrives between 7Pm - 8PM. Packages have sat in the post office for days. Tracking says waiting for delivery scan. Oh, I live less than a mile from the post office. RH

I live in Waterbury but any packages through amazon on holidays and Sundays are delivered trough Montpelier USPS .Half of these packages say can not be delivered because porch is inaccessible when I was in my driveway at the time the so called delivery was attempted to be made.I had another package today get delivered somewhere in Barre according to my package tracking and have had other packages come through this facility to be transferred all over New England (Maine,Massachusetts) to come back to Waterbury.I do not have this issue with items delivered tbrough the Waterbury Post office .According to Amazon package tracking I have another package that has been sitting in the Montpelier post office for 2 days that was supposed to be delivered yesterday.

I've been here multiple times and always gotten good help here. This was surprising to me since, until today, every USPS without fail has been a hot mess. I will revisit this review after some time in case of any anomaly to what I have had so far for the last 4-6 times.
