We were traveling from Stowe in search of a great restaurant for lunch. Along the way, we came across several options and were fortunate to discover the Nepalese Himalayan Food Eatery, which had received excellent reviews. Upon arriving at the Eatery located inside a gas station, we were pleased to find clean and comfortable seating available. We placed orders for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The food was truly delightful, surpassing our expectations in terms of flavor, freshness, and variety, both for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Additionally, we were impressed by the friendly and humble nature of the eatery owners. Highly recommended ?Vegetarian options: We had veg chowmein. It was fresh with a lot of veggies and was delicious

Great service. No Dunkin’ at a gas station. Great and delicious food. We had chicken curry and it has a lot of flavor.

I had never had Nepalese food before, so wasn't sure what to expect but it was pretty tasty. I had the beef curry special and it was pretty good. Don't let the location in the gas station fool you!

We had no idea we were headed for a gas station when we drove to Nepali Cuisine. We didn’t even know it was take-out only. In the end, our meals were okay, not great. Not one of the dishes had any real vegetables, so Nepali wouldn’t be sustainable on a long-term basis. In our case, we ordered the chicken curry (again, no vegetables) which was decent, but not worth stuffing ourselves to finish. The steamed beef dumplings were best of the lot in the humble opinion of Cherry Wonderdog, expertly complemented by the owner’s super sauce (served at will from a bottle). On the other hand, the samosas were undercooked (floury shells) and, comparatively overpriced. Still, the idea of being able to fill up with gas AND pick up Nepali food at the same time was immensely appealing. And even though we didn’t fill up with gas, we enjoyed taking out our food and eating a picnic lunch down the road at Oxbow Park.

Unexpected and delicious food at the deli counter of a gas station. The food is so good, and the family who makes it seems really sweet. My favorite grab and go spot around.
