If you go to Pete's equipment rental website and go to rent a skid steer, it says $1300 a week with no fine print below it . Apparently, one week to them means five days. One day means one day, a month rental is 28 days, a one week rental is 5 days. Reading through their many others agree that they are very misrepresentative about their price. They are not serving their neighbors and community. They are attempting to fleece them. Shame on you.

DO NOT RENT FROM PETE'S.I requested a skid steer and specifically stated I'd be using it to spread stone to build a driveway. The machine they dropped off was a forestry machine and was apparently not designed for this use because the rubber wheels it had on it wore down quickly. I returned the machine and Pete's would not take ANY RESPONSIBILITY for the damage and charged me $3200 to replace the wheels on the machine.I rented a machine from Essex Equipment the week before to do the exact same job and had absolutely no problems at all and they were much more pleasant to work with.From this experience its obvious that Pete's employees are completely unaware of the intended uses of the machines they rent and then take advantage of customers by charging them to service machines in their shop.Many other people in the area have had similarly bad experiences with Pete's Equipment. I will be avoiding them entirely in the future and would recommend anyone else to do the same.

Misleading about prices with a truly devistating result for us. Ended up getting charged way more than they had me understand when I rented the equipment. I’m not sure if they are used to regulars who know all the details of how things work or if that’s just how they end up making their money but that way of operating a business ended up being really heartbreaking for us, their customer.

Deceitful. Won't admit fault in any areas- human error with the paperwork or when the salesman makes a mistake. Worst of all nobody that works there cares that the salesman was unprofessional, disrespectful or degrading. They just laugh about it and say that I'm the one that was wrong for taking a disrespectful comment the wrong way and they refuses to apologize for it. Take your business elsewhere to someone that will at least pretend to be sincere.
