“This place was beautiful. It was so welcoming when we arrived. The front desk attendant walked us all around the property and showed us directly to our room. The room was extremely clean and cozy. There is complimentary continental breakfast, snacks, and juice available 24/7. The tavern was convenient and the food was decent. I would 100% come back to this inn if I was in the area again.”

“Victoria and her team have created a charming, high-touch guest experience at this historic property, serenely situated near a pond amid southern Vermont's verdant, rolling expanses. Surrounded by natural splendor, guests can immerse themselves in the enchanting ambiance of falling foliage while savoring fresh juice and homemade breakfast. An ancient tree, its crimson leaves ablaze, stands proudly outside the dining room window—a stunning sight sure to stop you in your tracks. Victoria’s warm hospitality shines through; she graciously prepared a quick breakfast for us, even with our late start!”

“We checked in 1/15 around 10 pm the woman working was not friendly and knew nothing about the area. She then checked a family of 4 little kids in at 1230 am right above us who jumped around until after 2 am. I called twice and she said I had to deal with it. Dominic on the morning shift Friday was even more rude and condescending. We finally got the AGM to call us and moved us to the 3rd floor for the remainder of our 4 night stay. The breakfast area was the cleanest I have seen and I loved BOTH breakfast ladies. The cleaning ladies come everyday and that was a nice treat. Overall we really liked this location, but the desk woman from Thursday amd Dominic both need additional training when dealing with customer complaints.”
“This is kind of an upscale Comfort Inn with a nicer breakfast than I have seen at other Comfort Inns. The room was clean and spacious. The “group rates” were higher than I would have expected.
Pro tip: they only have maid service every three days, but will make up the room more often on request.”

“Stayed here for New Years Eve with my wife so we could attend the Strange Ones Ball at Stone Church. Makayla was super friendly and helpful with our reservation and check in. Enjoy the coffee bar and Disney Instrumental tunes in the lobby!
Rooms: Most have original fixtures in bath and original dressers in room, very cool!
Nearby activities: Convenient to everything in downtown Brattleboro, food co-op, restaurants, stone church music venue and much more
Noteworthy details: Very cool historic art deco building that smells like delicious popcorn from attached theatre!”

“We stayed with our two dogs for four nights at the Putney Inn from the 16th through the 19th of June, 2025. The room was pleasant and well-maintained, the owners/staff were friendly and attentive, and the environs well-kempt. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast provided was good. Located adjacent to the interstate, we were not disturbed by traffic noise as the trees and open space provided adequate buffer. We had ample space to walk the dogs, and their pet fee was reasonable at $20/per night for both dogs ( not each, but for the pair). I will have fond memories of staying here while enjoying exploring other parts of Vermont. We highly recommend this venue.”
“I'm giving this a five star because of the value. It's not perfect. But what you get for the money is simply remarkable. It's clean, beds were comfy, staff is super nice. Would totally recommend”

“I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We came for the Brattleboro in Miniature weekend and just left (Dec 12-14, 2025). We had my 7yo daughter and 9yo niece with us and they had a blast at the hotel. The hotel was very welcoming walking in with holiday blowups and decorations making it feel so festive. All the staff we encountered were gracious and friendly, exactly what you imagine Vermonters to be like from what you hear. They had signs about ongoing renovations, but we didn't see or hear a thing to disrupt our time there. All that we did see looks nice and new and fresh. Their pool area is amazing, we spent Friday night there. They also have a nice hot tub to relax in. There are towels provided in the pool area, so you don't have to use your room towels. There is an accessible lift for the pool for those who need that accommodation. Each morning they have an excellent breakfast spread for free. That is a total bonus as a family that would easily spend $30-50/morning to go out to breakfast. You can make fresh waffles with your choice of 2 different types of batter and all sorts of fun fixings for your waffle after. My niece loved the waffles and had one piled high with whipped cream, chocolate chips and sprinkles each day. They have hot options each day which change with: scrambled eggs, a potato option (like one day was home fries, one day was sweet potato tater tots) and a meat option. One day there were sausage patties, another there was maple smoked sausage sliced into wheels. There are carb options like various breads, bagels and pastries, a cereal bar with fruit and yogurt, almond milk options in addition to milk, a juice machine and hot oatmeal with various toppings. There is a nice sitting area with different seating options off the breakfast area with a nice fireplace. There is a really nice 24/7 hot beverage bar next to the front desk with various coffees and hot water for tea or hot chocolate along with all the things you would need to make your own perfect cup. They have regular and flavored cream options, cups with travel lids and sleeves. We took advantage of this hot beverage bar a lot, which was really convenient, a nice extra amenity. The room itself was nice with white bedding, so you know they likely bleach. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room, which was also convenient traveling with kids to have food on hand and make our trip a little less expensive. There was a really large bathroom vanity for all our stuff for 4 of us. We were the second room away from the elevator/vending machine area, but we never heard anything from that area. The water pressure in the shower was good. The staff at the front desk were fantastic! They have an elf on the shelf that the girls had to try to find each day because he moves to watch all the kids coming and going. One of the staff members had a small white dog there named Macho who the girls absolutely fell in love with. All in all, we were so pleased with our stay, it was absolutely one of our best. The girls are going home with such fond memories, we couldn't ask for more. I would suggest anyone considering to stay here not to second guess it all for a second from any of the negative reviews on here. They are absolutely not representative of our experience. Thank you so much for a welcoming and enjoyable stay!”

“This property is an older property and has 2 types of rooms. I booked with super.com. When I checked in, the gentleman was very friendly, gave us the key and we went to the room. Now, I did not expect this. It smelled like pee and I would not have stayed in that room even if it didn't. I did not feel safe. I went back and told the gentleman the issues. He explained that I booked the cheaper room and they have better ones. He gave me a key and a great room for only $20.00 more. It was big, warm, very clean, and included breakfast. If you decide to stay there, just make sure to book the correct room. ?”
“Great place to stay for skiing at Stratton.Had a slight issue at the start of our stay but Kayla was extremely helpful and fixed it right away. Very friendly. Perfect little spot. Seemed like they baked homemade muffins and had a little breakfast bar. Would definitely be back if I am in the area.”
