Front end staff is polite and friendly. The deli staff not so much. The white haired woman behind the deli is ALWAYS very rude, and the brown haired guy is normally nice. However they need a class in customer service! I got two slices of pizza, which normally come in a box when you take them to go. Now they come on these paper thin “pizza plates” that have no top to them. This makes it very hard to carry out multiple pieces of pizza, especially if you get anything else in the store. I asked for a box for my pieces of pizza, and was told by the guy behind the deli counter that I could not have one. I then offer to pay for a box so I can juggle my items, and holding my child’s hand while walking to the car in the BUSY parking lot. He once again said he couldn’t give me a box for my pizza slices. It’s the little things that make the difference to me. I don’t think I had some insane request. After talking with the nice front end ladies, they inform me it is a higher up decision & a lot of people have been complaining about the lack of carry out food containers. My main complaint is how the staff handled it. I got no explanation just told no three times as I’m staring at a pile of pizza boxes! If this is a decision made by the “higher ups” ITS A DUMB ONE!!! Never in my life have I been told I cannot have a container to carry my food, from the place that I just purchased carryout food from. There must be better ways to cut the budget.

The food was good, particularly Amato's, and the self-checkouts were certainly efficient, but otherwise this place left a bad impression. First of all, despite being Maplefields, and despite the pictures, there is no place to sit down and eat your food, and, from talking to the employees, this seems to be something that will likely be coming to other locations in time. At the time the rest of the industry is moving to add those to serve travelers, Maplefields is going the other way, removing seating and catering only to locals. I had to find a clear space on the counter and eat standing because there was nowhere to eat my food and I DO NOT eat in the car! Unbelievable. Never stopping at a Maplefields ever again. As I was leaving, I noticed that, despite the roads having cars with plates from a variety of states, every other vehicle in the Maplefields lot had Vermont plates. Gee, I wonder why. They certainly don't cater to people on the road here.
Meanwhile, the restroom had nowhere to hang my purse or coat (because, again, nowhere to sit and eat, so I had to take my coat with me, though I'd never leave my purse unattended). Do they expect us to leave our stuff on the floor?

This place is run like a military operation. Went and got water from the NASTY BATHROOM SINK AND THE CASHIER TRIED TO CHARGE ME 1.30 for half a bottle of water from the disgusting bathroom sink. This place has the worst employees. So rude.

The cashier working Monday nights at 11:00 pm is very rude. Like one of the most rude cashiers I've ever met. I mean you don't have to even cash ppl out it's self checkout so you can say a word when ppl say have a good night. Nothing not even a yup. So very rude.

I visited this location twice on April 8th, 2024 during the Total Solar Eclipse. The staff were very friendly and the restrooms were very clean. Even with the hundreds, if not thousands of people that were visiting their store that day. The staff were handling the large crowd professionally and thoughtfully advising customers of the extending wait times. The staff did an excellent job.

They ran out of gas. What gas station runs out of gas. But, the handicapped assistant manager named leland was very polite and helpful

Restrooms are kept very clean as is the whole store. Employees have treated me well...no complaints here.

When cashiers can stand staring at people checking out and there's no coffee it makes me sick just drove from derby to them to then turn around to go back to derby to get gas and coffee cause all the casheirs can't do their jobs

Since every single coffee shop in town closes by 4pm, we stopped here and were very happy with the friendly employees and selection of coffee drinks. Everything was stocked, clean, AND affordable. $3 for a very decent cold brew vs a $5-6 latte elsewhere, and we were able to get in and out quickly. Highly recommend!
