I went in recently and left with my family’s fourth purchase from White River Subaru. They are not your typical car dealership. They will work with you to make your (reasonable) hopes happen. I was in and out in about 3 hours. While waiting to close the deal they were apologetic like it was taking an unreasonable amount of time, but they couldn’t have been better! Everyone was so helpful!

I am writing this review because I just bought a 2023 Subaru Forester and picked it up Thursday. I am giving 4 stars because my experience started out rocky, however, ended with me getting a decent deal. I started communicating with Jackson about a trade-in. He was very attentive and was able to answer my questions over email, I set up an appointment to meet with him so I could get a quote on my trade-in and was soon told “Jackson is actually in Tennessee for a training with Subaru”. This is where I was skeptical, but wanted to give White River Subaru the benefit of the doubt!I went in for my appointment and was approached by Brian. I caught him up on what I was looking for and what I wanted for my car. Brian was very nice and great to work with. He listened to my every need and didn’t make me feel stupid for asking a question. Brian was there through the whole process and I was able to text him while I was waiting a month for my car to hit the lot.Once my car hit the lot Brian let me know immediately, I went in and Patrick took care of me as Brian was out that day. Patrick helped me finalize the few pieces that were missing and I left with my new car that night.All this to say I enjoyed my time at White River Subaru and if you are in the market for a new car I suggest going to them. It was worth the drive for me (I drove an hour and a half out of my way when I had another Subaru dealership 10 minutes from my house).

We met Abigail when we researched a used car they had but we ended up with a brand new Subaru! She was very patient with finding a match for our needs and was able to make a deal happen with a NEW car we could afford to finance! She was super professional and kind; we did not feel pressured. Everyone else we have dealt with shortly after our purchase at WR Subaru, have provided awesome customer service. We appreciate that type of business and truly recommend you purchase your next car there :)

Brian made the buying experience great for us. We knew we wanted another Subaru and when circumstances converged to launch us into a scurry, Brian was a genuine help for us to find and buy a vehicle. So nice to find a servant hearted salesman.It didn’t feel like he was just trying to sell me something.He tracked down what we wanted.… and went the extra mile to pull everything together in our timetable. it wasn’t all that easy for him, and it came together so quickly in the end that i was actually at the dealership when the truck pulled in with our new car - cool.Brian even took the time to make a short welcome and walk through video with the new car. He was patient with all my questions and clear about expectations and purchase details.The rest of the business staff was also great to us.I enthusiastically recommend Brian and White River Subaru without hesitation.

Be aware that the service department at White River Subaru does not check to make sure that parts are in stock for repairs scheduled weeks in advance. You will be asked to leave you car there for several days or to book another appointment after having brought the car in. Very poor coordination with the parts department. Apparently parts are only ordered once the car is at the dealership for service.My story: made an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed on my Subaru Outback in early August, was told they do this kind of work all the time. Dropped off the car, and got a call several hours later that they do not have a trailer hitch in stock. Multipoint inspection reveals a few other issues that need to be addressed. Made a second appointment in late August to install the trailer hitch and make the other recommended repairs. Asked explicitly to let me know if they can't get the trailer hitch part before the next appointment. Arrive at second appointment, and the trailer hitch is not on the list of items to complete. Receive a call several hours later that the trailer hitch is still on back order, and they also do not have a power steering pump in stock. Can I leave the car there overnight so that the power steering pump can be replaced the next day?In short, your time does not matter to the White River Subaru service department. Expect to bring your car in multiple times and for multiple days because they do not have parts in stock to do work scheduled weeks in advance.

The sales department is great and would get 5 stars. Brian is a pleasure to work with and always takes care of us. The service department gets one star and I will not be using again. We’ve tried twice. The first time they worked on an ac. When we picked up the car they hadn’t hooked everything back correctly and it still didn’t work. We ended up reconnecting things ourselves. The second time there was zero communication. I dropped the car off for a 9:30am appointment. I hadn’t heard anything by the afternoon and called. The service desk answered, didn’t have the status info, and tried to transfer me to my service rep. Phone rang for two minutes and then hung up. Called again an hour later and left a voicemail at the service desk since no one answered. Two hours later I called again, the service desk tried transferring me to the service rep again and it rang awhile and hung up again. Called back and the service desk took pity on me, found my service rep and got her to answer the phone. My car had been ready for awhile, they were almost closed for the day, but no one had communicated it was done. I understand being understaffed, but when you have people’s vehicles which they depend on, you really need to answer your phone.

This Subaru Service Center has completely changed my opinion about car dealerships and auto services associated with them. They are not doing "just business", but genuinely trying their best to help clients.They are truly an outstanding service which goes above and beyond what I thought a car repair service could do.My situation turned out to be very challenging. The car broke down on Friday night, a 2-hour drive away from home. It was towed after midnight to a car shop that had no capacity to fix the car on Saturday.The White River Subaru Service was willing to accept it right away and attempted to fix it using the part I brought from an auto parts store, despite their recommendation to use a genuine part. It turned out they were right. The part I brought wasn't good. I had to bike to the parts store and back to take another part. The time was close to the end of their workday and all the mechanics were busy.Then the service manager got out of his office and installed the part himself in the parking lot! I was so relieved and happy that I don't need to go there again from far away. It was my true luck to bring the car to them.

I wasn’t in the market for a new car but Brian convinced me it was a good time! He was able to get my lease paid off and get me in a Brand New Outback! It has everything I could want and more! I’m thoroughly impressed with his expertise, amazing customer service and willingness to make a deal!

The service department staff here was very friendly and responsive to any concerns I had. The work was better than I had requested on my vehicle. I would highly recommend Sonya! She was the best!

I highly recommend going to Patrick Fox for a stress-free buying experience! He got me the car I wanted at the price I wanted, everything was very timely and I felt like one of the family. No gimmicks or hassles. Patrick was wonderful to work with and I will always recommend going to him and WRJ Subaru! This is the first time I've left feeling happy with 100% confidence at a dealership! Also thank you financial team for working with my credit and budget to get me on the road in a safe and reliable vehicle. I'll say it again, Patrick Fox is the guy!

Incredibly thrilled to report the amount of dedication, professionalism, and support I received from White River Subaru today. I purchased a used Honda after weeks of obstacles presenting themselves left and right during my search for a “new to me” car. This dealership did it right. I was 1000% attended to starting with my initial inquiry; and I gotta give a huge shout out out to Patrick Fox for making miracles happen today. The team here is stellar. I made an appointment through the app in my car, waited a week and showed up at the time(07:30am after a 12+ overnight shift) was the only person checking in and was told that I chose to “drop off”and that I would have to wait hours to have my oil changed. I let the woman know that I made the appointment through the car and that “drop off” or “wait” wasn’t an option. I was told “since waiting wasn’t available , that wasn’t an option” and that I’d have to wait until everyone else who had appointments, for my car to be serviced. Even though I made an appointment at 07:30. I worked a 12+ hour shift prior and have plans later in the day. I could not wait “hours” for my oil to be changed.This is not the first time I have had issues. The first oil change I had on this car, they spilled oil all over my car’s engine and beyond. To this day the car still smells of burning hot oil even after 23,000. I brought it back several times and sat hours while they tried to clean it, even saying the smell was from the undercoating they sprayed on the muffler. I do not recommend this dealership. Avoid going here, unless you like spending hours and hours in their waiting room because of their lack of service in both customer and vehicle services.
