Cute farm store with honor system payments. People making cheese inside while we visited. We did not tour, but the location is adorable.

This is our second annual trip to the area and once again, Consider Bardwell Farm completed our trip. First, the farm is beyond beautiful. Second, I had the opportunity to meet the lovely owner who turned the lights back on for me, kindness matters. Third, the product!!! So good. Bardwell bites by the fire with wine. And so many meat options. Thank you!

On a recent trip to Vermont, my daughter and I decided to take a little cheese tour and stopped in on this farm. The ride to the farm was so scenic, and the farm is in such a pretty area. You can see into the cheese room from the little shop. There's an honor system for the resister, but they did have a machine if you want to pay with a credit card. The cheese we bought for an impromptu picnic lunch was really great. I've also tried more of their cheeses at the Dorset farmer's market. Definitely give this farm a try for some seriously good cheese!

amazing cheese! Pawlet and Dorset were tried and loved. we missed not seeing the goats because they were inside for the barn. We'll have to take a road trip in the summer to see them out in the fields.

I am lucky enough to be able to buy this locally made cheese and it is outstanding. Go for the Rupert or Rupert Reserve, and prepare to be amazed. Cheeses are named after local towns in southwestern Vermont. Don't miss this beautiful example of a small working rural Vermont farm. Specializes in artisanal goat and cow's milk cheeses. I think they sell the cheese from the farm.

I grew up on a goat farm. These goats are healthy, loved, clean and treated with the utmost kindness in this idyllic setting. They love people and are loved. Humane treatment of animals is of greatest concern to me. In that regard this place is tops. O yes, and my family loves CBF cheese - though I am vegan : ) They buy cheese, while I dole out kisses of gratitude to those who provided it! Hahaha! May they continue to thrive...

I was never into cheese except basic deli brands. At McCarren's farmer's market I tasted Consider Bardwell's and for two years it was a weekly addiction! Danby, Dorset, Slyboro, Manchester, Rupert-- went home with at least two! Now I hear it has closed?
