We stayed at the inn late September. It was nicely renovated but lacking overall. An onsite restaurant was nice to have but the food was just okay and staff were not welcoming. It felt like we were disrupting “locals hour.” We would have gone elsewhere for dinner after the first night, but we wanted to just relax without too much driving after a long drive to the inn. It’s not the vacation we were hoping for. We will give it another shot in the future, maybe it was a tough time of year.

Stayed here 2x now and they just keep getting better. The rooms are pretty lux for the building, and they have a great staff and even a restaurant with a tavern on site. They are renovating the tavern so we missed out this time, but I did enjoy it the first visit and it was a great atmosphere for a brew with some friends.

I hate to rave about this place because I'm selfish and never want to find it full when i look to make a reservation. The place is unique, clean and comfortable. The people are great, too. Fiona especially. My home away from home. I've been staying here for decades and love everything about it: the Inn, the river, the pub, the outdoor spaces. Beautiful.

We have stayed at Clear River many times, and it is always clean, good service. and. the Breakfast Nook is slways fully stocked!
We would definitely recommend, also, the Clear Restaurant which is on site•••convenient and great food.
Staff is very pleasant and attentive!

Clear River Inn had the cleanest room I've ever stayed in! The king size bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely updated. Fiona was so pleasant and helpful. We got there a little before 4:00 and Fiona said she'd have our room ready shortly and she did. Unfortunately, the restaurant in the back is closed Monday and Tuesday so we had to drive to get our dinner. The back area of the Inn is great with outside seating for the restaurant as well as Adirondack chairs around a fire pit. There's a stage for a live band on the weekends and 2 small pavilions with a table and chairs for seating. It felt so welcoming. We'll have to come back on a weekend to enjoy a band and relaxing outside.

It was great! Went to The Clear Tavern. Buffy was awesome, really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area 😊

We happened upon this inn late one afternoon. We stopped to inquire about a room and even though the office was closed, a gentleman appeared momentarily to help us. We were checked in quickly and were able to get into our room. It was clean, had everything we needed (kudos on using quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner), and the beds were very comfortable. There was one (very small) problem which was addressed politely and courteously. We would definitely stay here again!

The caretakers have thought of everything to make your stay perfect.

Rooms are nice bed is soft linen is great quality. Wasn't able to visit the bar and grill but love the idea of not having to leave propert to get food and drinks. I saw they had a few setups outside to relax, even had big games like connect four.

The Clear River in is a wonderful place to stay. Our room was neat, clean, and well appointed.
The self check in worked flawlessly and the continental breakfast had a wonderful variety of food.
We would recommend The Clear tavern too. The food was good and the live music was delightful.
We've stayed twice at the Clear River Inn and will stay again when in the area.

Great place to stay along a scenic route in Vermont. We stumbled upon the Inn, and we are absolutely wanting to come to the area and stay again. Rooms were nice, staff was very friendly, and the complementary breakfast was great!!!
