Vermont Sports Medicine Center has used The Original General Store twice now for business functions. The organization, presentation and the quality of the food never disappoints. This will be a staple for our business functions for a very long time we highly recommend.

Fabulous family style meals! We ordered the roast chicken with mashed potatoes and greens, beef stew, biscuits with maple butter, beet salad, and seven-layer bars. Everything was so tasty, and enjoyed by 30 family members with varying tastes. You will not be disappointed to have OGS do the cooking!

The most amazing general store! We stopped there on our way back from Barre, VT and the girl at the counter, who I think may also be the owner was the most helpful, most kind and most beautiful person. Our food ( we had a Rueben, a BLT and the chicken tenders for my son) was fresh and delicious. We will be making this a stop every time we travel though Vermont! Thank you!

Pittsfields’ Original General Store has it all, and is the perfect stop for local VT goods, local craft beer/wine, and for stocking up on your adventure needs. We go every time we’re in the area!

Let me tell you something. My wife and I have travelled far and wide. We have had many pizzas. Big pizzas, little pizzas, fat pizzas, skinny pizzas, stuffed pizzas and thin pizzas.
When I say that they have one of the best pizzas we have ever tasted, I mean it. It’s divine. They have digorno in a little side fridge. Don’t do it. Don’t get the digorno. Get the pizza they make there (we got the meat lover’s). It’s a delight. From the box, to the smell, to the cheese and meats to the crust. So good. Forever will we remember this pizza, even when we are old and gray. If I ever get to decide what my last meal is, it’s going to be this pizza.
Also, the people are really nice and the store is cute. 10/10, recommend.
