Came here with my friend, her husband, and their 1 year old. The hostess seated us at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. There was a 4 top open that wasn't set yet but she did not offer it to us. Maybe 10 mins later a couple walked in and they also did not have a reservation and were seated at the 4 top. Seriously? Our party had 3 adults and a kid and they seated us at the bar and the couple got seated at a 4 top? A bit annoying to say the least... Appetizer was good although the spinach-artichoke dip was a bit oily. Food was pretty good as well. Waffle fries were hot and coleslaw was delish with the fresh herbs. However, my fried chicken thighs were a bit dry and overcooked and definitely nowhere near as hot as my fries. Kind of disappointing for a place known for its fried chicken. Fairly small place on the inside. Next time I will know to call ahead and make a reservation. Despite the annoyance with the seating and lackluster fried chicken, my friends enjoyed their meals and our server was very friendly and attentive. The place is cute, one of those true VT gems and I will most likely be coming back (and hopefully the chicken will be hotter and moister next time!).

I have to say ... the chicken and waffle ... which I've had as the main menu item and the habanero version ... is absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to go back. I was really surprised how good it really is.

Best fried chicken, best cold slaw, best waffle fries I've ever had and before that I tried something new. Duck Wantons, you read that correctly and they blew my taste buds up with ecstasy. I'd would suggest to the management to open a Cluckin Cafe in North Conway NH, the most popular vacation area in New England. Probably make a fortune.

Got there Nashville Sandwhich and cheeseburger egg rolls with ketchup aioli on the side to go yesterdayChicken was great and had great flavor and just enough heat to make you smile, waffle fries are usually always good and still are and crispy,Egg rolls are MASSIVE! And they give you two of them and honestly they can be a meal within themselves if you are more in a snack mood.Great portion and delicious food and wonderful staff..Thanks Nicole and to her staff as well ! :)Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to the door no stairs

Two of my buddies went last week and threw up after. I wanted to try it because it’s close to home and I went with five other friends. It’s an hour later and I’m writing this throwing up and another one of my buddies is also throwing up. Out of 8 people half are throwing up. Not great a feeling.

The food was great here. Service was spot on. I was a little disappointed there was no culinary institute or students. I was expecting something else but I'd go back for food again. Delicious!

The Cluckin’ Cafe hosted our wedding brunch, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We worked with the owner, Nicole, to reserve the space and to plan the menu. We had the most delicious breakfast buffet for our guests, along with amazing drinks like their apple cider mimosas. The staff at the Cluckin’ Cafe were so kind to us and our guests. It was such a great and tasty end to our destination wedding weekend in Vermont!

Just visited the new place in Poultney, the food was awesome! I ordered the eggplant caprese wihich was delicious it came with a pickle and a side of chips, my husband ordered the spicy chicken wrap it was fried chicken, coleslaw and bacon with a side of waffle fries of course i had to steal some of those they were soooo good he said his wrap was excellent. We also grabbed a couple of frozen soups for dinner and an pumpkin pie for dessert. The atmosphere is very tasteful and it was extremely clean. There is a little section dedicated to gifts such as scarfs earrings, specialty chocolates, maple syrup. The coolers are filled with cold beer, sodas, water and juice they have a hot coffee stand to grab a cup of coffee. After chatting with the young woman at the register they will soon have lottery. It's definitely one of our new favorite places. Check it out even if it's just to grab a coffee.

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but sadly after our last 2 visits we won't be returning. Our visit last night left much to be desired. My mother in law and I got our drinks but my boyfriend had to ask twice for his beer (in a can, not a difficult order, and after we were told they were out of his first choice), we got our appetizers before he was served. While the food itself was good, I did not get the sandwich I had ordered.
