The Farm & Wilderness Foundation offers summer camps nestled on 4,800 secluded acres in Vermont. These beautiful woods, mountains, and lakes serve as a playground, classroom, and home for youth, where they can explore a life that is simple, rugged, and exciting. The camps feature unique programs but share a common theme of creating an environment for living in community with one another. Reviewers describe Farm & Wilderness as a beautiful and inspiring place, with a unique offering, committed leadership, and an incredible philosophy. It is a formative experience, allowing campers and staff to grow as individuals and learn new skills, such as how to live without constant technology. The camps provide a sense of adventure, with no electricity or plumbing, and cabins open to the woods. Families praise the lasting friendships, confidence, and independence that their children gain from attending Farm & Wilderness. The community is described as nurturing, with delicious food and cherished traditions that help children feel part of a special legacy. Overall, the camp is considered a truly transformative place, highly recommended for youth.
