Extremely overpriced, this is a Safeway/Albertsons owned store, one of the largest American chains with a huge amount of buying power, the prices are still significantly higher than little Mom and Pop stores in the area, you just can't get everything you need at those stores. I shop here as a last resort as another 25 minute drive takes me to smaller, regional chains with much lower prices and phenomenally better customer service. On my trip today, my purchases included two loafs of bread that had a big sign in the aisle for a new lower price. When they rang up for nearly $1 more a loaf the shift leader who was assisting a newer cashier didn't really believe me and spent over 10 minutes going to find the sign for herself while the elderly people in the rapidly lengthening line behind me got very frustrated. She then came back and verified I was correct, changed the price and a left the area forcing the cashier to call her back and wait even longer for her to override the price before the cashier was allowed to finish the transaction. If this happened every once in a while it would be one thing, but this happens two out of three times I visit ANY Shaws location. **UPDATE**. YELP PLEASE TAKE NOTICE The response from corporate was mostly an advertisement for their shopper card program since my review mentioned price. I am a member and still pay more than the further away independently owned markets. The sales frequently don't come up in on the register and it's always a fight. Horrible customer service.

Produce not fresh, items expired, terrible customer service, price on the shelves not matching at the register. I know there are things they have not control over, like the variety or the high prices, but at least they can be friendly, polite, and say: "I'm sorry" when they screw up. Almost every time I shop there there is at least one item they ring wrong. Just today, I got a head of lettuce that was already $ 3.99 and it rang $ 4.99. When I asked, they looked surprised, sent someone to check, people in line gave me looks like it was my fault... then returned... of course the price was $ 3.99, but NEVER said "I'm sorry"... quite contrary.... I'm wondering who's training these people...? What does it cost to be polite and courteous? Some of them never smile... others don't even look at you, or say HI. So disappointing....

Randolph Store--not Duxbury--Prices are high since there's no competing grocery stores nearby. Also, the manager was not willing to let our local volunteer club do a stuff a truck in their parking lot for the local Randolph food shelf--he shut us down immediately, saying Shaws does enough for the food shelf and it is "redundant." The reality is, Shaws wasn't going to have to do anything, except let a volunteer group with an excellent reputation be in their parking lot for one day in December, when no one else was doing a food drive (we did our homework and even had a local radio station lined up to announce live on site) and they would see their revenue go up with no work on their part. This exchanged happened September, 2020 during COVID 19--and was slated for December, 2020 when demands on the food shelf are higher and the community is looking for ways to support one another. Very short-sighted leadership!

2/5.....14.99 a pound for steak that's national average price is under $7. You people running this store should be ashamed of yourselves

Very disappointed to see no gloves or masks on any cashiers of the store, spread is coming here, businesses should be proactive right now before it becomes a crisis, there is now 1 case in Orange County and 1 in Windsor county

We are so fortunate to have such a complete and beautiful grocery store in our little town. I hope everyone realizes this and also knows what it would be like without it!

Literally the worst supermarket ever. Check the packaging on anything you buy there!!! Things I have brought home to find out they had broken seals or cracked/torn packaging include: yogurt, toothpaste, baby wipes, cat food, lotion, Mac n cheese, and probably other things because this has been going on for years. The produce section is abysmal, with passé produce and empty sections. As far as dry goods goes they are often out of what you need, as if they wait until something is completely out of stock before reordering. There is often an empty shelf where a product should be. Their customer service training seems to be nonexistent. If you bring a problem to someone's attention don't expect more than a blank stare or, at most, a shrug.

Not happy to have to pay $3.25 at your atm to get cash since your machines aren't working. No one can use debit or credit to shop? That's a huge issue. Manager offered no solution or help whatsoever.

The checkout lines are always long because they are short staffed and only have maybe 2 check out lines open on a Friday afternoon when its the busiest! And someone please needs to replace rotten produce with fresh! It's just disgraceful! And the checkout clerks should have some hygiene counseling to say the least! Last time I had a gal who didn't look like she had brushed her hair in months...really don't want someone like that handling my food.

No. This place is the worst. Not only is the management all sorts of messed up, the store is disgusting. I'm always finding raw meat on random shelves or random food randomly thrown into nearby coolers.

This store has the WORST produce section! Every time I go, simple items are unavailable- carrots, onions, etc. Twice I've bought fruit and had to throw it away upon finding mold inside. Unacceptable. I am taking my business elsewhere.
