Merck Forest & Farmland Center is a huge, beautiful, and peaceful place open all the time. It is a bucolic and pastoral piece of land where education, nature, and sustainable farming come together. The area features hill and farm land with great views, autumn foliage, many trails, and animals like sheep and horses. Visitors can explore for hours, hike trails of different difficulties, and take photos. The center offers amazing programs and passionate people, including school programs and events like a Maple meet up with introductions to boiling, tree learning, and a sugar shack tour with tasting. They have cabins and huts to rent, like the Spruce Cabin, where you can rough it out. The site includes a large parking area and a guest services and souvenir shop where maple syrup products and other items are sold. It is a really well-kept place, highly recommended for a wonderful time.
