Helpful hardware folks ('folks' is inclusive of any gender) were very nice to us same as any other in their store but then this makes perfect sense as it's only natural that an Ace would get along with a Joker.

Christine from St. Albans (usually Swanton) Ace Hardware went above and beyond when helping me look for a certain product. There have been many times where staff did not know where items were and did not try to help. I sincerely appreciate how helpful and friendly she was with me. Thank you!

I’ve never had any issues with this particular store. However, I called them today to ask about the price for a piece of plastic hose. When I was describing the plumbing issue I was going to use it for the man on the other end of the phone tried to steer me towards getting a completely different (more expensive) product. I explained that I didn’t need the product he was suggesting (not yet anyway) and he hung up on me. I’ve done my research on the particular issue I have. It may be easily fixed with a plastic hose, a funnel and some drano. The man wanted me to buy a snake. More expensive for one thing and I’ve read that snakes can do irreversible damage to pipes and should only be used by professional plumbers. I’m not trying to get in trouble with my landlord or cause a flood in my kitchen. I’m just trying to buy a piece of plastic pipe to get my drano where it needs to go. I guess since I’m a woman, I don’t know anything but he literally hung up on me! So rude! I think I’ll go to tractor supply from now on.

Looked at a weber grill at the store . Cost was $60.00 more then they showed on their web site. Went to aubuchon in milton and got the same grill assembled for $110.00 less. Very high prices at this store.

I came in to have a key made. A young man asked if he could help. I told him I needed some keys made. Before I was finished the manager told me I would have to go to the counter to get the keys done. She was very loud and her tone was very demeaning. Her customer relations skills are non existent. The way she was bossing the young man around was very embarrassing. I will not be back and there was a line at the counter at the time. The employee needed assistances the cash register and was told she would have to wait for help.Customer service severely lacking from management.

They refused to take a return because I did not buy the items from their store even thou I had the receipt. What is the point of shopping at a chain store if you can not do this?

Staff needs to become more aware of the products they sell. I was told they don't have a product that their website states they have. Then i was directed to look in the wrong area. After about less than a minute of searching I found what I needed with no help of the staff (not that hard to find so like how do you not know you have it) then Was asked by the staff members where I found that like I'm not being paid to find your products for you, don't ask me find it yourself thanks.

I went in to have a key cut two months ago and a person who didn’t know how to cut keys cut my key and completely messed it up, which is totally fine accidents happen. They then replaced my key for free which was nice and ordered a key that never showed up for over a month, they then placed another order for another key and fob that has still not shown up. I have spoken to three people about keeping track of my key when it arrives and two of which no longer work there now and they had planned to come program my car for me for the inconvenience but now they no longer work there. I have been without a car for two months now and I have missed other appointments to get my car programmed or have my car towed and now Honda dealerships are out of the keys. Beyond frustrated at this point. I have never written a review and have never written a bad review in my life but this waiting game has been ridiculous and people not knowing where my key is, is beyond frustrating.
