Some stores, like Hannaford, are considered the best in the area, offering good groceries, although even their produce has lately been less fresh. The center features an enclosed walkway, which is convenient during bad weather, but the manual double doors before entering stores can be difficult for those with strollers, carts, or disabilities, making it not very ADA-friendly. Many stores have closed due to high rent, leaving fewer options for shopping for electronics, lumber, fabric, clothing, and housewares. Signage for closed stores is often left up, adding to the rundown feel. Overall, the center struggles to meet the needs of local residents, who now often shop elsewhere or online.
