The Saint Albans Museum is a wonderful local-area museum located in a beautiful historic building. It is open from May to October and features carefully curated displays depicting the rich history of St. Albans and the surrounding area. Visitors can discover the people, places, and events that shaped the history of St. Albans, Franklin County, and northwestern Vermont through current featured exhibits such as the Central Vermont Railway room, Farming Franklin County, the St. Albans Raid, a historic classroom, an award-winning women's history display, an exhibit dedicated to the Smith family of entrepreneurs, politicians, and philanthropists, local medical history, and Abenaki archaeology. The museum also hosts special and loaned exhibitions, arts performances, educational programs, and family-friendly activities. The knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff provide great details and answer all visitors' questions, making it a great experience for both adults and children.

This museum is the perfect activity for the whole family and a must-see! The collections are nicely curated and cover a wide range of subjects, but all VERY Vermont. A great day trip destination and a lovely peek into local history.
