“We went to a movie here in their intimate theatre. Smallish screen, but digital projector, and high quality surround sound. A great place to see a movie you won't see at the multiple.”

“Gorgeous local art displayed beautifully!
So many galleries are crowded and the artist's work is overlapping and difficult to enjoy their style, but at the NKK Artisan gallery, every artist has an area so you can enjoy their specific style, some artists have additional information which is really wonderful to gain deeper insight to their work. My visit was inspiring to see so much really wonderful work, very special pieces! If you need to be inspired on a long winter's day I urge you to go and look around and buy a few cards ... Or a piece of art! The prices are affordable.”
“The Athenaeum is a beautiful building. The art work alone is worth the trip. There are all kinds of talks and lectures. And a wonderful selection of books for both adults and children. Even if you don't borrow a book, a wander around the building is a must.”
“My husband and I recently lost our 8.5 year old Shiba Inu Mia due to her 3 year battle with epilepsy. We are locals and decided to pay Dog Mountain a visit to pay our respects to our Mia who crossed the rainbow bridge last week. (If you are going in the winter be mindful that it is located on a dirt road, it is well maintained, but just know you will probably be driving on snow and some ice). When we stepped into the chapel we were brought to tears, it was an emotional experience to see all the others who have experienced this type of loss. We spent a while in the chapel, reading and viewing people's notes and pictures. One of them touched our heart, it was another Shiba (we assume), Sachi, who past away in 2012. We hung our Mia's picture next to Sachi and felt at peace hoping she might have a new friend in the meadow of the rainbow bridge. We happily donated some money to the donation dog in the chapel and left. We then ventured into the shop and spent some time in there viewing the amazing art work. The store keeper was very nice and welcoming, offering us some tissues. We will return back in the spring/summer, maybe with a new friend if the stars align. Thank you Dog Mountain for allowing us to have a place to properly grieve the loss of our dog. I feel somewhat at peace now. There is truly no other place like this.”
