“The Athenaeum is a beautiful building. The art work alone is worth the trip. There are all kinds of talks and lectures. And a wonderful selection of books for both adults and children. Even if you don't borrow a book, a wander around the building is a must.”
“THIS MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD!! I have 2 dogs, and they are my entire world. There are not enough places that take time to not only let dogs be free, but take time to honor and pay them respects. I spent an hour just looking at other dogs photos. When you walk into the chapel, you can feel how much love and care is placed in this room. I laughed, I cried, I mourned, and I loved it. Upon leaving, we stopped in the art gallery, filled with the artists work, that you can purchase and bring home a little memory of your visit. And a trip wouldn't be complete without the staff greeter Maggie, who barks to let them know you are here and barks to say goodbye. Amazing experience all around <3”
