I took 2 cars there at once and one of the cars I just wanted them to put 2 new tires on it that I payed $300 for and they would not do it unless I payed for 2 more new tires off them so there crooks and I took the 2 cars some where else and they did what I wanted so they made $40 on my car and $500 off fixing the other car so I guess lol it sucks for them crooks

I just came from having my car worked on by Kevin's Automotive. After some things raised my suspicions I went online to look for a part that Kevin himself had charged me $130.00 for. While online I found multiple options for the same part and none were more than $37.00. Too late for me though, as I had already paid for the part. This morning I had the part installed and, when they had finished, I was charged $70.00 for the installation. The two workers (not Kevin the owner) quoted me an hour's worth of labor and the cost of 2 screws and a bolt. The only problem was that I had timed the entire event and it had only taken them 40 minutes of labor - which in itself is a stretch to say - since I heard the work stop several times while the two workers engaged in conversation. When I challenged the cost I was told "well the hardware doesn't come cheap" but when I asked for a breakdown on the cost of hardware I wasn't given one. Instead I was told that they would only charge me for 45 minutes of labor. After leaving the shop noticed that a matching part on the other side of my vehicle seemed to be rattling. When I inspected it I discovered that a bolt had been removed. This is not something that could rattle out or come loose over time, especially in Vermont where one season of snow, grit, and salt fuses and rusts everything in place. The bolt seemed to have been deliberately removed and probably used on the new part on the other side. Ultimately, all I can say is that I will never, ever return to Kevin's Automotive and I would be very, very careful to check on autopart prices and keep an accurate timing of how long it takes for them to finish the work on your car. This means that you have to be there on site because, otherwise, I would have had no way to challenge what they charged me. I was really, really disappointed with my experience at Kevin's and I will never go there again under any circumstances. No integrity.

Honest and caring auto repairs. Kevin and Brandon are thoughtful and very competent, and his prices are reasonable. This is a small, 2-bay shop, and the wait for an appointment can be 2 weeks. Kevin has done very well by us on VW, Toyota and Ford vehicles.
