We unexpectedly came across Sandy's place and had to stop when we saw we could visit the alpacas. For $5 a person, I figured we would get to pet some alpacas for a few minutes and be on our way. The experience was above and beyond what I expected. Sandy brought us into one of the enclosures to introduce us to the female group of alpacas. She was really informative and taught us a lot about these beautiful animals and what it takes to run an alpaca farm. You can tell the animals are really well taken care of. We were there for easily over an hour. Sandy was a blast to listen to. It was such a fun time. She even offered to take some pics and then one of the alpacas decided to photobomb us!

Had an amazing time! Owner was so friendly and informative. She took time out of mowing the lawn to greet us and give us an in depth tour. So happy we visited and would love to come back sometime in the future.

Sadly, the owner was rude & unfriendly. Her greeting upon arrival was “Get your money ready, I’ll be right there.”She did not say hello or thanks for coming, be right with you. She did not inform us how long we’d need to wait for a tour. We had 2 small children with us who giggled at her alpacas and the owner stuck her head out the gift shop door and said “You can’t yell at the alpacas or they will spit at you.” Ok, so have you ever had a 3 or 4 year old at your farm before?? Are you aware that they are all loud? Sign says three and under no charge, do you expect all small children to be silent on your tours? I have never been to a farm this inhospitable. As a hobby farm owner this type of interaction with the public is what gives the rest of us a bad reputation. This lady should sell her products online or at markets, she does not have the personality to be hosting people on her property.

Rude & unfriendly owner, after waiting 30 minutes for a tour, “Get your money ready, I’ll be right over.” She paid no attention to us & did not tell us how long we’d be waiting. My nephew was giggling at one of the alpacas & she told us her alpacas would spit at him if he yelled at them. I said that he was 3 & we couldn’t guarantee they wouldn’t be loud. She said, “Well then go get an ice cream.” As a small hobby farm owner, this makes me so sad. Do not open yourself to the public if you have no intention of being a good hostess. Save your money & go to another farm!!

If you sign up for harvest Host you can even stay here!! We loved the alpaca's and learning all about them. I picked up a pair of slippers that still look and feel brand new after lots of daily usage! Take your kids! So fun!

We visited the farm and shop today and what fun! Sandy, our gracious host, knows everything to know about alpacas and is warm and welcoming. The alpacas are friendly, and we got to go into the pen to pet and cuddle them. Sandy made it so much fun, telling us everything about how a former Long Islander wound up in Vermont raising alpacas. The animals themselves are so friendly and love the attention. There is a small admission fee of $5 each, which is the best money we spent all day. We got to stay in the pen about 20 minutes, and no visit is complete without seeing the lovely alpaca woolen goods. This was definitely a highlight of the day. Thank you Sandy!
