As an interior designer based in Vermont, I had the pleasure of working with Lori at Modern Design Furniture Store on a recent project. From the very beginning, Lori provided exceptional customer service, showing great attention to detail and a strong commitment to collaboration. She took the time to understand both my design vision and my clients’ needs, helping us select a custom sectional sofa and dining table that were not only beautiful but perfectly suited to the space.

Looked at Stressless Chair to help with back issues. These chairs while expensive have an ergonomic design ( endorsed by Chiropractic Association) and are well made. Couldn’t be happier with our purchase.We worked with Lori who was extremely knowledgeable about the product and how to properly find the correct size/fit. She was clearly as interested in our satisfaction as making the sale.It was our first purchase from MD but will start there next time we need furnishings.

Worst furniture buying experience ever! We wanted a specific couch that our furniture shop did not sell. It was available at Modern Design so we made an appointment to look at it and they sent us a quote via email. When we arrived our salesperson showed us the couch and we talked about available sizes and colors. My wife asked for color swatches so the sales lady said she would be right back. After 15 minutes of waiting for her to return I went to the sales desk to find out where she was. While waiting for her to return, I asked if I could use the rest room as by that time we had been there for almost an hour. The sales manager said the bathrooms were for employees only but I could drive a mile away to use the bathroom at the bagel shop. I thought she was kidding but she was dead serious. I said, so you will gladly take thousands of our dollars for your furniture but we cant use the bathroom? She replied coldly, i don't make the rules and walked away. I was stunned. Then we sat down to make the purchase and the price quote on the sales invoice was over a $1000 more than what they had originally quoted! When we asked our sales lady she brushed it off as a mistaken key stroke on the computer. At that point I was furious but my wife really wanted the couch. She had to negotiate the price back down which they finally agreed to do. The most unprofessional furniture buying experience ever and we will never do business with them again. The only positive part was the delivery guys who were very professional.
