The Museum Store at Diamond Barn offers a charming and enjoyable experience for visitors. Located near Burlington, Vermont, it is part of the larger Shelburne Museum estate, which spans over 40 acres and features an eclectic mix of art, crafts, and Americana housed in various buildings. The grounds are scenic and include buildings relocated from different parts of New England and New York, such as houses, barns, a lighthouse, a general store, and a covered bridge. Visitors can explore the grounds on a walk of about 0.75 miles, enjoying the peaceful environment and beautiful scenery. The museum also displays a range of historic artifacts, including a carousel, doll and duck decoy collections, and a steamship, the Ticonderoga, which adds to the sense of Americana history. Art lovers will appreciate the diverse collection featuring works by Monet, Grandma Moses, Cassatt, Degas, and Rembrandt, as well as sculptures by Frederick Remington. The museum’s buildings include a recreated interior of the Webb family’s 5th avenue triplex apartment, offering insight into American life and art. Seasonal demonstrations like blacksmithing and baking add to the experience. The grounds themselves are wonderful, and the museum’s architecture and exhibits make it a fascinating place to spend a day. Overall, the Museum Store at Diamond Barn is a unique and worthwhile destination, perfect for anyone interested in American history, art, and culture.
Always wonder if a repeat visit will live up to memory. 2021 crowds seemed to encourage the Museum to up the ante. The best was the walk through the woods. Call them fireflies or fairies, but that walk is magical.

The buildings and grounds were very nice. If you enjoy art collections, this is the place for you. We did not enjoy the art collections and were a bit disappointed by that feature.

This museum is deceptive. It looks small from the outside but it is large and you can easily spend a day here. The model virus parade is a highlight. Come on a beautiful day as the grounds themselves are wonderful. Great for any age.
