The Museum’s 45-acre campus is comprised of 39 buildings, 25 of which are historic and were relocated to the Museum. Among the most beloved attractions on the campus are the Shaker design Round Barn, a General Store, a carousel, and the 220-foot sidewheel steamboat Ticonderoga. Visitors enjoy strolling the beautifully landscaped grounds with 22 gardens. The Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education features changing exhibitions and Webb Gallery features important American paintings by Andrew Wyeth, Winslow Homer, Grandma Moses, John Singleton Copley and many more.
Kids really enjoyed the museum/exhibitions (we actually spent 2 days there and could have gone back to see more. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, willing to answer questions and share insights.

This is one of the best museums I've ever been to behind major Natural History museums (which are my favorite). The exhibits are incredible, the grounds are extraordinary, the variety is top notch. EVERY MUSEUM SHOULD BE DONE THIS WAY and it is well worth your money. Plan to spend a whole day, it's huge.

Excellent open air museum for a sunny day. This museum has an enormous variety of exhibits, and good special exhibitions. Takes all day to really see everything.
